X-Men Evolution Jean was pretty likable.

Evolution was different from the 90's X-Men cartoon because I remember that version of Jean Grey having trouble in tough situations like she was going to faint or something, and then she gets her Phoenix powers and kind of gets overpowered.

>>154879784>Will modern audiences now understand why comic Jean is not a commonly liked character?Most of the dislike of Jean from comic audiences comes from 2 groups; people judging Jean by how Bendis wrote her and pretending she's always been like that, and Cyclops shippers bitching that they can't get the specific garbage ship they want if Jean is alive.The last 15-20 years have not been kind to most X-Men characters, and most Marvel heroes in general, you can make a case for most of them being horrible people now, and if you're playing to an audience that won't read old comics, you can try to fool them into thinking a character has always been like that, but Jean hasn't been dragged through the mud alone and everyone else is still fine. Everyone has been tainted by the slop of modern Marvel.
