GotG did as well as it did not only for it's quality, but also because Marvel was fucking exploding and people were craving anything that had their logo in it. The truth is, Supergirl flopped because of Gunn's take on Superman. People just aren’t into this version of the character, and that lack of interest carried over to Supergirl. Superman failed to draw viewers in for more.
