Previously, X-23 had been having bad dreams and it was decided to put her in a halfway house outside of Utopia. But she awoke to find the place destroyed and most of its inhabitants dead. She'd also found herself being harassed by a demon named Hellverine and, seemingly giving up, was taken to his hellish realm. Only it was more a realm of her own imagination and finding self-affirmation over not being a weapon she was able to reject the demon and awakened with a star-shaped scar on her hand. With that she decided to leave Utopia for the time being but caught the attention of Miss Sinister.Today is X-23 #4-7.Previous >>154966380

Laura manages to fight off possession via the power of being a Mary Sue.
I'll be honest, I've probably said it in these threads before but I really don't like Laura at all and find her to be a dull and irritating Mary Sue and that goes double for this series where she is very clearly a self-insert for Liu. The ship teasing with Gambit, who is Liu's husbando, is what makes it really blatant.
