Anyone read Galaxion? The site for the webcomic has been dead for the past couple months apparently and the series was on hiatus since 2018I was considering storytiming it
Is it vibes?
>>154987335 I haven't read it yet for myself but old indie comics like these are right up my alleyThere's an Internet Archive copy of the first edition of the first volume so I'll read that when I got a chance (and hopefully all the links for the webcomic site have been saved)Not fond of the digital coloring of the webcomic stuff in comparison to the printed covers of the floppies though but it doesn't break it for me
Huh, apparently the webcomic was a reboot and not a continuation
>>154987019>Anyone read Galaxion?I have never once heard of this webcomic ever until you made this thread. But, whatever, I'll look it up. Even an abandoned unfinished comic offers something to do while we wait for the next Ice Age to pass and we might get another page of Outsider.
>>154987019Do it plz we could always use more storytimes
>>154987019Looks like your typical inspired by the space anime America got in the 70's and 80's thing.
>>154987019>on hiatus since 2018yeah its over
>>154987019The annoying about indie series like these is not only it never finished but also they're printing all over the place and order of the stories.
>>154988976Can'tMy desktop has been "range blocked" so I'm on perpetual retirement and even then I have second thoughts if I should even bother to resume when given the chance
>>154987019Never heard of it but I'd be down for a good Space Opera storytime.
>>154989264For me, it's when minicomics are involved
>>154990531I'm glad those indies that changed publishers, got made years in between and have mini comics have slowly been getting easy to understand collections like Paul Pope's THB has that now with a 3 volume trade series.
>>154990972You have no idea how badly I want a reprint of Patty Cake by Scott Roberts in full with all the stuff that's lost mediaI found out recently one of the supporting characters likely originated from a minicomic and I haven't found a listing of it or any mention of it online period
>>154989046I honestly thought it wasn't so bad until it dawned on me that's it been almost a decade
>Prologue was first printed as a back up for Thieves & KingsNeat
What's the longest hiatus a webcomic has had before coming back?
>>154989046Oh fuck, its dead OP especially since the site's down.
>Whoa, it’s an update!>Well folks, mostly I’m posting this as an apology to you all (and because I had the page ready to go). Sorry for just dropping off the face of the Earth, but I’ve been needing to step away from posting pages for a while now, and instead of acknowledging that and doing it gracefully, I just let it get to the point where I had to suddenly drop it and walk away. Honestly, I’m not ready to start up a schedule again yet, either. But I wanted to say thank you to the concerned readers! I’m OK, my family is OK, I just need to do something else for a while. Since Galaxion has always been a labour of love rather than a big source of income, I would rather enjoy the process than feel beholden to a schedule.>I know, as a reader, that sucks to hear. But here are some words of consolation: first, you can be confident that I will continue Galaxion. I’m still writing and editing it even now. Believe me, I’ve been writing and drawing this story for decades, I won’t leave it after all this time, I want to get to the end. I’m just not sure yet what form releasing new content will take. Second, I cross my heart I WILL NOT START OVER FROM THE BEGINNING. I learned my lesson last time, believe me!>But most importantly, thank you so much for caring about mehttps://web.archive.org/web/20260215135828/http://galaxioncomics.com/
>>154992035>Thieves & KingsI should read that
>>154995509It's pretty good but be aware that about a third of it is straight up prose
>>154989264It's not that bad if there's a good resource to keep things in checkIt's hunting that shit down that becomes a problem if it wasn't reprinted
>>154987019Does anyone have a mega for this series?
>>154999533Unfortunately noThe webcomic looks to have been saved entirely thanks to the Wayback Machine but the original single issues haven't been scannedYour best left using the rental system for the collected edition of the first couple issues on Internet Archive
>>154993936>"I won’t leave it after all this time">proceeds to immediately vanish off the face of the earthgee i love it when creatives do this
>>154989661what exactly did you do, anon?
>>154999721I didn't save my cookiesThat's literally it apparently
Would I like this if I like girl genius?
>>154999729just do what i'd do and email yourself the images on whatever device you're using to post
>>154987019I feel like someone traced a Macross image
>>154999752Probably
>>154987019>Anyone read Galaxion? No, I have NOT read Galaxion.
>>154999645You can buy the original issues of the series before the one in OP image and the the one in OP image for pretty cheap on eBay, maybe one of you guys can get it and scan it, I don't own a book scanner or regular one but I rather it be someone with a book scanner.

>>154995509Yeah, you really should
>>154999645>Your best left using the rental system for the collected edition of the first couple issues on Internet ArchiveLink?
>>155003576https://archive.org/details/galaxiongraphicn0000tara
did the creator die or something?
>>155005386Sounds more like they moved on with their life
>>155005412right after >>154993936? rather dishonest isn't it?
>>155005439Yeah but its a common story with webcomics.
>>155005386>>155005412>>155005439Apparently the printed run had to end because the creator became a momSimilar to part of the reason why Blue Monday had to go on hiatusI'm kind of more optimistic about it coming back since it's an admitted passion project that runs deep and did have an audience but her social media is nonexistentNot even a Patreon
>>154987019Never heard of it. Looks nice.
>>154987019Bamp
>>154987019Looks confy.
>>154987019Not heard of it but that is a nice looking pic, if that is the standard for the art.
last year i've had a week where i read one webcomic a day, managed to read galaxion during that week, its a nice comic kinda sad that it went out without even a whimper.(like many others)
Pre-webtoonslop webcomics are in a weird limbo space, forgotten to time, randomly bought up but usually missing or still around but writer dipped or still going but no one cares.
Space is so cool!
>>154987019looks real purty
>>154993714Oh no!
>>154987335Galaxion is nothing if NOT vibez
