Og of course because well OG but I liked the show version really wish they did more with her. Also hope they have her hook up with killer croc. But idk what goes on in HQ show anymore so maybe she has come back

Baby Doll making you her top henchman, and your first task is to break into an amusement park during closing hours and take her on the Ferris wheel, which gets stuck with both of you at the top right after she finishes her extra-large soda

Honestly, the kiteman one, because she actually looks like a human that can live and not a cartoon freak who should have died from deformity based organ failure.

i like both equally

We need a comic about this
>>
>>154992664
It depends what kind of charcter/story they're going for with her. Would like to see more of her being a conventional "villain" without having to lean on the cutesy-kidsy style. Like she's just a diminutive woman trying to make it work in Gotham-flavor crime
>>
>>154993102
Ironically, she would probably lean a bit in the middle depends. But most people with her problem do at least make it to 10-13ish because that's around the time the high-level pituitary gland work starts. Those some do look younger really does depend but she'd probably be a bit small but proportionate.
>>
>>154993172
The problem with the orginal one, both artsyles, is that they didn't give her a body that at least looks adolescent, they drew her like a toddler. At least if she got as far as 10-12 she could just be a midget, but with how she actually looks, the real life cases where this happens, those people have a host of health issues and sometimes mental impairment.

Second one, not because it's old but because the small breasts show that she is an adult but at a glance you could never tell that. Plus she goes to the effort of makeup and outfit choices that reflect a mature woman. Actually rejecting what she hates about herself.

The first one is just a short woman into cosplay.
She's too tall and too lean for anyone to confuse her as a child without having astigmatism.

Ironically her first iteration isn't great because she looks too much like a child to the point that it makes no sense. I understand that's the point, but considering her story her doing nothing to try and look her age before her break is nonsensical.
>>
How come they never put Baby Doll in the comics?
>>
>>154993456
Because any story with her would be a rehash, and/or 'diddy blud ahh drake type shit' crowd make it not worth the bad pr regardless of what the comic is about.

this, and also she doesnt have any other notable gimmicks for writers to latch on to.
though i do recall her having a couple of scenes in a two-face mini.
>>
>>154993456
Not much milage without making some pretty big changes like how Kiteman basically had to change everything and just keep her concept to do something else. I think she would be fun as a sidekick or cameo villain like she never does the villain plan herself but she works with Tow Face, Penguin, or the one that makes the most sense Mad Hatter
>>
>>154993355
Usually the mental impairment comes from the lack of proper hormones and how others view them. But ironically saw one of them at the store not to long ago it was so jarring.

>POV
>See some chubby little kid running down a aisle
>Little girl following behind him
>Think nothing of it
>Girl is weirdly dressed up compared to boy
>Purse and a jumper, both look name brand
>Me "damn her parents must like her better"
>Notice she has tired eyes
>"Damn that kid is stressed"
>Girl telling boy to stop acting up
>Boy actually does it
>Boy reaches for something high up, almost makes it fall on himself
>Catch it and help give it to them
>Think I'm helping out some kids
>Only then notice girl has slight crow's feet
> And has her ID on a necklace
>"Guess it's to let people know she is, in fact, an adult"
Was crazy to see, honestly; never thought I'd see one irl, but apparently they exist, and she was really small to the point I thought she was elementary. But I mean someone fucked her and she had a kid

If you mean her very first appearance, we do briefly see this image of her playing Lady Macbeth, during her time when she wanted adult parts. We don’t get to explore much about her life between when the sitcom ended and when she went crazy, but it’s implied she had a period of time when she tried to be taken seriously.

With this image I want to assume she’s wearing a lot of shapewear to achieve that look. Like a little custom made corset and a heavily padded bra.

It really sucks to be disabled in such a way that you need expensive tailor made clothes, but also you have no job because you’re disabled.
>>
>>154993829
>If you mean yer very first appearance
Yep.
You're right that she has a flashback showing the tried to be taken seriously as an actress, but it never went into what she did to make herself present as an adult iirc.
The second iteration, where she tried but failed due that that asshole making her crack was top tier imo.
The croc plot was meh wish he wasn't in it.

Alright, pitch your idea for a Babydoll arc.

I say lean into the idea that she looks like a child. Have her be a serial killer who was driven nuts not by being stigmatized by her condition, but instead because she was Weinstein'd. Have her be the homicidal homage to Chris Hansen, and play up the idea that she's been killing men who are unambiguously innocent as well as unambiguously guilty. That way it doesn't look like it's defending pedos, but rather that she's not entirely sane and some of the innocent men just look like, or say the same things/phrases identical to the ones who abused her.

I suggested the idea that she already went through an arc of trying to being a villain and failed
Then she got into running gotham's escort business, providing legit protection for various women
She gives batman info that she gets from her girls if it comes up
Have an arc where she needs his help to investigate the murder of one of her girls and it seems to be some kind of modern jack the ripper type that even can allude batman

Weird women in comics are typically written by men. Women are too insincere to tolerate seeing a lesser version of themselves be given representation.
Also the general lack of female healthcare in comics makes things difficult.

>Alright, pitch your idea for a Babydoll arc.
here's one I came up with years ago;

>Mary acquires a Clayface sample alongside some of the last remaining stock of Renuyu
>most of the episode is her taking those samples to various mad scientists around Gotham to refine the sample more and more
>all while both Batman and Clayface are pursuing her(both think she's trying to become another Clayface)
>by the end of the episode Clayface has been subdued by Batman, the resulting distraction giving Mary the time to inject herself with the final refined sample
>the results are surprisingly subdued
>turns out she went to all the trouble of doing all that refining because she specifically didn't want to run the risk of becoming something like Clayface
>instead the purified sample just retained enough mutagenic potential for a single permanent body alteration
>thus Mary ends up a couple inches taller, with a much more visibly womanly body and a more mature(if still pretty youthful) face
>Mary was hoping to end up a little taller but is otherwise thrilled with the results
>Batman is so amused by this(and the fact that Mary hadn't actually done anything illegal) that he let's her go with just a mild warning to stay out of trouble

>if she does too much toy weapon stuff she'd just step on the toes of other villains

I don't know how the fuck she did it, but she had the exact build, size, and figure of one of those shortstack porn goblins you see across the internet, pure 10/10.
Low cut top, thigh high boots, big boobs, huge thighs, the works. Took every cell in my body not to do a doubletake after already ogling for a second too long. No green skin, so she wasn't cosplaying either. She was shopping for clothes.

There would inevitably be a gag where Scarface and Baby are on either knee, with Joker asking if Vent has his hand up just one or both of them.

But perhaps Mary has a falling out with Killer Croc and Scarface is her 'rebound'. The running gag being that Croc doesn't even acknowledge Scarface when he's not shooting, and Vent is scared utterly shitless at all times. Scarface's mouth keeps writing checks Vent can't cash, and all the while Mary is seeing Scarface like a jet-setting romantic when it's actually Vent doing anything he can to get the fuck away from Croc. The climax has Croc and Scarface about to go toe-to-toe when Mary has the 'boys, stop fighting over me!' line, swooning next to Vent's leg. Scarface, being the 'classic' gentleman that he is, tells her she's acting like 'a crazy broad.'

Croc's eyes widen, and he starts backing away. Slowly.

Mary loses all the cutesy / New York noir affect to her voice (can be visually displayed by the font going from frilly, pink, bubbled, and serif to completely flat black). Mary either drags or beats down Vent to get Scarface at her height. She steps on his wrist and starts removing Scarface. Vent tries to object, but there's just a panel or two of Mary's head turning in his direction with those scary, dead, fully adult eyes. Vent slowly loosens his grip, at which point Mary teaches Scarface exactly why living people don't call her that. After she brushes off the sawdust and tears, she fixes her hair, and walks up to Croc who's still nervous. The higher pitch voice is back like nothing happened, and the two of them walk off into the sunrise with her riding piggyback, telling Croc she wants chocolate chip pancakes with the whipped cream smile before they head back to the sewer. 'Guess we ain't gonna need to ask for toothpicks..." The two of them laugh as it fades to black.

>Interview with a Vampire could have possibly had an influence as well.
Then it would have had to be the book.
The movie came out a month after the first Baby Doll episode aired.

In a nutshell, I think the chances that the book, Interview with the Vampire, was an inspiration for Baby Doll's character are slim at best, and it would have been impossible for the movie to be any inspiration at all.

Sure, the movie would have been promoted in theaters before Baby-Doll aired, on October 1st, 1994, but A: A trailer's worth of Claudia isn't much to inspire a BTAS episode, and B: It's animation; that episode would have been in production for a while... almost certainly before the trailer dropped.

>>155000818
She hates being seen as younger. Somehow I doubt she would be interested in a guy whose primary turn-on is that she looks like a child. >Which is funny since she can't help but "Little out" sometimes...
Which made more sense in the first episode, because she had reverted to her sitcom persona, while she attempted to gather her TV family together, in a replica of their old set, and go "boom" along with them. She was obviously in a full-on crisis.

It DOES make less sense in the second episode, though...
She certainly behaves like a normal –if pissed off– adult, with the rude idiot at the hotel.

The return to the "Baby Doll" character's dress, while she's shacking up with Croc is harder to explain... She initially puts it on to trick the police transport drivers into thinking she's a child, but she not only stays in that outfit, she stays in that persona, too.

It's even stranger that she acted that way with Croc, since she really seemed to want to keep him around, and the baby act was obviously nothing but irritating to him.

I guess there's one good thing about Croc, he may be a violent criminal and, in some continuities, unrepentant cannibal, but he has no interest in children, to the point where he doesn't even want anything to do with an adult woman who's acting like one.

Mary Dahl being kind of nuts is part of what makes her a Batman villain, though: I suppose one could say that "Baby Doll" is now a state of mind she retreats into during times of stress.

In any case, I sincerely doubt she'd want to play "Baby" in the boudoir... unless she was as desperate for company as she was in Love Is a Croc, and was deeply in "crisis mode."

I guess this also doubles as a small rework too.
>Mary commits various low-level crimes and misdemeanors in various attempts to fix her condition because this is DC and we have mad science and magic (for a price)
>Batman is split on the issue since she's nowhere near his usual villians and is more a casual annoyance, but folks like the Mayor and more cynical police see her as a "quick win" they can make to show they don't need Batman for everything
>Mary is also trying to do illegal shit to get fixed as well, with there being a high risk of whatever she's planning backfiring or killing her
>This results in Batman personally fighting Babydoll whenever she's on a crime spree so she doesn't get fucked over by some corrupt asshole looking for a cheap, lazy win by disproportionately fucking Mary over or someone trying to scam her by using her desperation against her
>When she's caught she usually gets sent to Blackgate instead of Arkham and for some weird reason Bruce Wyane always donates to various research programs centered around fixing glandular problems at the time.
It's rough, but the idea is to fit her into the more Mr. Freeze category of villiany but with less murder, where there's a possible solution but she's too stubborn and headstrong to try and use legal channels to use "alternative" means of getting her issue looked at so she turns to crime instead.

>"... Sorry about that. I'm still dry at least, so there's--- let's just get our last few things and check out."

>Anne Rice's vampires was very popular in the 80s

It came out in the mid '70s so, of course, it's posssssible Claudia was some sort of inspiration for Baby Doll, but I seriously doubt it.

Much more likely that she was inspired by child actors, particularly from sitcoms, who go off the rails as adults, especially when the world doesn't allow them to escape the roles that made them famous.

And, as already mentioned, Diff'rent Strokes would've been a prime example.
Gary Coleman, famous for being a cute, sassy, little kid character with a cheeky catchphrase, and Dana Plato, his female costar.

You combine the two of them and you basically get a proto-Baby Doll. Gary, famously small, even as an adult. Had a lot of trouble as an adult. Punched a woman who got mad when he didn't personalize the autograph she asked for. Backed his car into someone who took his photo without permission, got into fights with his ex-wife, was massively in debt, died at 42.

Dana tried to prove herself as a serious actress, after Strokes, to no avail; separated from her husband; ended up in trashy movies; got ripped off by her accountant, leaving her with almost nothing; lost custody of her son; married some other dude for only a month; got implants; posed for Playboy; lived in an RV; worked as a cashier; got arrested for robbing a video store with a pellet gun; was in the video game Night Trap; got arrested for forging prescriptions and had to do rehab; did a softcore movie... eventually died at 34 from what was ruled a deliberate overdose... though she wouldn't have been the first 'scrip addict to accidentally mix too much of the wrong shit, and die from it.

Ignoring the sex stuff and things from after '94, then combine the two actors... A short female actress who was famous as a little kid with a catchphrase in a sitcom, who tries to be a serious actor, afterwards, fails to escape their OG role, and resorts to crime.

Not saying it was exactly that, but it's an example.

Baby Doll doesn't work as a character because women already have very easy lives due to the pornography industry (OnlyFans etc.), but Baby Doll especially would have it easy because she is a legal adult who looks like an 8 year old. The enduring prevalence of child abuse and CSAM in virtually every country (and its especially high where possessing it isn't illegal) tells us very clearly that she would have no problems becoming a millionaire off starring in that sort of material. Even self-alleged edgy shows like the one with Kite Man refuse to acknowledge this, not even to try and dismiss or rationalize around it.

Hey numbnuts you ever consider that her downfall had nothing to do with money and everything to do with being a washed up hazbin passed her prime also not everyone is willing to sell their bodies
>>
>>155002102
I bet you say the fairy tale Cinderella makes no sense because she could just run away and become a hooker too.

>this character isn't realistic because every woman is a-ok with being a whore
Like your mother? Or is the fact she is a whore the reason you have this view of women?

Probably has to especially if she wants certain items at a store like medicine and being two "kids" walking around.

Part of me wonders how this even happens but it's like those petite girls that lean into the build so maybe they just do the right exercises and get plastic as well.

But one I saw just felt super normal, but your town does sound weird

Usually but Baby Doll doesn't really work with it because I feel like past average it wouldn't matter to her, it's gonna feel like a brick at 9 inches or 2 feet

OG looks like a doll
Both are sexy

She has an interesting look but really how do generate stories about her?? she's not really going to be running a gang or robbing an art gallery
She's not a threat to anyone really.
I was thinking they could just use an excuse that she was in some movies any time they need her to have some skill
>gets into a fight
>back in the 90s I was doing movies in Hong Kong with Jackie chan (does a flying drop kick to batgirl)

>some one is escaping
>oh back in the 70s I was making western in Italy with Clint Eastwood (jumps on a horse and lasso's batman)
Seems a bit limited though really. She has no motivation to go around committing crimes outside of her original cartoon episode

Second one is more memorable. The first however, it would be a somewhat realistic way but I could be wrong. Wish Mary would have more appearances

The I could see her getting a bunch of film roles during her heyday and a bit after while she was still a commodity trying to break out of being typecast that could give her a bunch of random skills like that.
>She has no motivation to go around committing crimes outside of her original cartoon episode
I legit think making her crimes related to trying to cure her condition could help, or at least give a decent justification for why she does crime.
>>
Realistically, Mary would have been able to jump into voice acting, since she clearly has range.
>>
>>155011756
Realistically, Mary would wear diapers due to having the bladder of a 4-year-old while drinking coffee like she's 40

>>
>>154992664
Original has more appealing cartoony design. Left looks like a teenage girl or young adult wearing a Shirley Temple cosplay
>>
>pretends to be an actual little kid and gets adopted by rich family and then kills them to get their money
>finds a scientist that fix her condition but turns her into a giant 20 story tall giant little girl
>Hollywood makes a movie about her life but hires a normal sized actress to play but uses CGI to look short so Baby Doll goes nuts and blows up the studio
>Baby Doll falls in love with some chad but she won't date her because she's a midge so she kidnaps him and plans to cut his legs off so they'd be the same height (its bruce Wayne)
