Previously in X-Men United, Iceman decided to try to get Cyclops and Emma to stop fighting each other by getting them to play a game of Ancient Orc Oaken Arclight with him, Rogue and Deathdream, with Ben Liu helping out to create a realm based on the game in the astral realm. But before they realized it, they found themself trapped inside the realm and Deathdream managed to escape and return back to Graymatter Lane, finding out that the rest of the teachers were missing and only the students were left. These events were seemingly caused by the Shadow King, who had also been manipulating the new student Malchance to let him in to begin possessing the students…

Two weeks ago, Laura and Gabby brought the Generated to Logan’s safehouse that they were living in. As they struggle to get accustomed to a normal life, the sisters decided to train them so that they too could be heroes, by having them aid with Laura’s missions to help out the mutants of New York and the requests they would place in the remains of the Treehouse. After the Generated managed to save a family and celebrated with dinner at the restaurant and picking out their own codenames, they returned to the safehouse only to find Logan having passed out on the floor…

Technically, this kind of works since they don’t say how much time passes between the two issues…but you’re pretty much just pushing it by saying that Logan (who is heavily dependent on his healing factor because he needs it or else he dies to adamantium poisoning) would just tell Kurt to drop him off where his daughters are hiding and pick him up later, instead of going directly to Cecilia to get info on how to get his healing factor fixed.

Last time, Logan confronted Dr. Mor, the scientist who had stolen his healing factor before the T-O virus inside him transformed him into a variant of Post, knocked Logan out and blasted off. When Logan recovered, he followed Mor to Mount St. Helens with the SHIELD sky-cycle that he had taken with him. Logan confronted Mor again but in a way so that he wouldn’t transform again and instead tried to reason with him to get info on how to shut down the nanites. Unfortunately, Alpha Flight showed up with the mission to neutralize Mor, causing the T-O virus to transform Mor again and blast off further in the mountains. Now Logan is on borrowed time as he has to keep Mor alive, deal with Alpha Flight and survive the volcanic eruptions, or else he will lose his healing factor…or die.
There’s something really awkward with the art on the fourth panel.
