He's basically the go-to protagonist anytime it's not Peter, or on occasion Lois. All Brian episodes have Stewie as the deuteragonist, and Chris and Meg are afterthoughts and not seen as easy ways to draw in viewers. The writers have gotten better about doing Meg-focused episodes here and there, but modern Family Guy is still 40% The Stewie Show.
