I didn't spend a lot of time on this shoop, but she's got slightly different eyes in this image and a more pronounced nose, but otherwise looks basically the same. The makeup (eyeliner, lashes, lipstick) do a lot of heavy lifting for her face.

Except they're being consistent. Women in Avatar, and a lot of cartoons, don't have defined lips unless wearing lipstick. It's a simple, easy way to communicate to the audience the character doesn't have makeup on, or isn't an adult.

That's just an odd as fuck choice. It indicates they know full lips are hot but also they don't have full lips naturally.
