If I had to give my opinion, I feel like the show ruined his career, because thanks to High Guardian Spice's negative reception, many studios are probably associating Rodriguez of only bringing PR nightmare and don't want to work with him. Hence why he keeps looking for work after 2 years of being jobless likely being quietly blacklisted from the industry.I imagine that after seeing things like KPOP: Demon Hunters, Turning Red or recently Dragon Striker become critically acclaimed by regular audiences with the first winning an Oscar for Best Animated Feature, Raye is probably crying because his series could only be met with mockery and hate instead of what came out a years later

If i didn't I would have ragged on it. called it childish amateurish and needing at least 2 years to iron out the story characters and world with other writers and creators. It should have been just a series of 5 - 12 minute vignetets so the flaws in the story and charactrers and her politics are weighed against telling a short concise story with only the most important entertaining bits of whatever story they wanted. Not a full series.

The setting is a pretty generic fantasy school setting. There is weird tonal dissonance as you could tell the creator wanted it to mostly be comfy all ages appropriate adventures but they were mandated to include swearing and violence to appeal to the more "mature" crunchyroll audience.But there is love put into the series, some of the characters are pretty fun and enjoyable to watch. Others less so, but I don't exactly regret watching the series. Even the shoddy aspects of it were entertaining in their own way.
