A problem with fanfic writers I notice is that they aren't very good at explaining a scene. Obviously they are not professional writers, but man some of them are really bad.Backpropagation, specifically, has this problem of using swears in non dialogue. Not that I have a problem with swears, it's just that having that in the scene description feels extremely clunky and amateur. It's supposed to be as neutral as possible, just describe the scene, don't add a bunch of "fucking" or "shits" to add what I suppose is to be impact to the description, it feels so immature. I also notice writers struggle with reusing the same similes or phrases over and over. It's really hard to not notice after you have. It almost feels like they didn't know what to put down, so they just put down a phrase they've already used because it sounds good.Maybe it's just me, I don't know. A majority of my fanfic consumption was greentext in the 2nd person, so maybe I'm just not used to 3rd person any more. This post probably doesn't make perfect sense, I just woke up and I'm ranting but because fanfics were being discussed I felt like it was a good time to get it off my chest.

Is anyone else disappointed that Goose confirmed trans Jax after the finale?I've been mulling over it for a while, and despite loving how Jax's issues were handled in the finale, I can't help but find it hard to watch again after Goose's confirmation.I mentioned in the previous thread that I went through my own gender dysphoria years back when I was in high school. I went through a period where I felt like I wasn't a man and wished I was born a woman.
