Jax spent the entire series torturing everyone for shits and giggles, and yet he gets babied by all his fans because they relate to him being sad and lonely. Fair enough, though it irks me when they go so far as to imply that Ragatha/Pomni/Ribbit wronged him in some way when, frankly, they were all nicer to him than he deserved. Caine, on the other hand, spent the entire series trying to please everyone, and only crashed out and started torturing them in the penultimate episode. Then in the finale, he finally discovers what they all meant by the "real world," and why they were all so desperate to get back to it. Not because they hated him, but because the world was so much bigger than him, and he finally had a frame of reference to truly understand that. Once he understood what the problem was, instead of doubling down on his toxic behavior like Jax did, he set his brother free and went to try and help everyone as best he could with a better understanding of their needs and emotions. I'll admit that Caine fans probably baby their fave even more than Jax fans, but a big part of that is because he reads so much like an autistic child that was never loved or taught to interact with others, so the fact that he continues to try his best throughout the series makes him very endearing to us.
