It squanders an interesting premise and a great cast with some very stupid plotting and general bad ideas. It occasionally feels like the prequels in its willingness to be absolute cringe. The first season doesn't tell a complete story, exactly, but it does tie off most of its characters and loose ends. Who knows what they'll do with it now.

I don’t know what it is with the current Star Wars stories. Not really out of just nostalgia or old Expanded Universe purism, I’ve enjoyed some of the post-buyout media. But I find that I am finding more entertainment value out of a glup shitto Senate Guard going through a family crisis than Doctor Aphra and friends going to university or whatever adventure they have. It is happening more frequently.
