Bob and Margaret was once the 2nd highest viewed cartoon on Comedy Central behind South Park and barely anyone talks about it.

yes anon, i know it, and disney used some computer animation for their films in that era but nobody was capable of doing a 100% computer animated show of 52 episodes in 1990-1992 plus the OP's image it's clearly a normal drawn cel so i don't know what are you smoking

gonna shill School For Little Vampires. Has a really small fandom in europe where it aired and online too and when people try to talk about there is little to no interest anymore. Used to have discussion of it here but ot died down (and I wasn't able to participate)

>memory holed
Somehow we perceive that if a show isn't continually revived, referenced, or talked about, then it's been "memory holed"; that if your specific internet echo chambers aren't regularly reminding you of the existence of a piece of media, then it doesn't exist.

Sometimes it's okay to just not talk about something. It doesn't mean it was bad, or a failure, or that it was forgotten. It just means it's old. Plenty of people remember Dr. Katz. It's just not the kind of show that needs to be omnipresent or continually dragged back into relevance. It happened. It's over. But I highly doubt that all the people who watched and enjoyed it have "memory holed" it. It's just that there's nothing to talk about, and kids today probably wouldn't get it, so it stays comfortably nestled in the past.

This show is influential as fuck and spawned many shows yet rarely it’s ever brought up.
>>
>>155097074
>Weird concept...
Not really. It was basically just "color-coded hero reptiles with personality gimmicks" in the same way TMNT was. The only unique thing was the 1930s setting, but noir/gangster shit was basically hard-coded into the brains of all the boomers who developed cartoons back then. It's why even Ninja Turtles had more Don Turtelli episodes than anyone asked for.

Wish I could find a good torrent of T-Rex. Did the show ever get a digital release in any capacity? The most amusing thing about it, to me, was that they all were essentially vaudeville celebrities who put just as much effort into their stage performances as their crime fighting.
>>
I'll sometimes forget this show was even a thing for years at a time and then it floods back into my mind that I enjoyed it as a kid.
>>
>>155095450
Lots and lots and lots of made for syndication cartoons that had their moment in the sun but don't matter now.

Highlander the Series
Mighty Max
EXO Squad
Ace Ventura
Taz Mania
Dog City
Histeria
Road Roavers
Big Guy and Rusty
MIB Cartoon
>>
>>155097003
And Brave Little toaster had computer drawn animation.
Beetlejuice had a CGI segment in every episode in 1989
>>
>>155098303
This show seems like it was only watched by animation students since everyone referenced it for another decade and a half.
>>
>>155098851
Zoomers also have no frame of reference for a series only having one season yet remaining on tv for years. Everything now is in it's 15th or 30th season so a single season show is perceived as a miserable failure to them.
>>
>>155101085
I feel like every few years a channel made something like this. They make an anthology type of sketch show filled with various pilots that go on to make up the primary lineup of that channel for years afterward. Like Oh Yeah Cartoons for Nickelodeon in the 00s, and What a Cartoon show for CN in the mid 90s.

Or a sketch comedy type of show that brings in all the new actors that will be headlining the next decade of shows like Reno 911 background faces being everyone that got their own show on Comedy Central for the rest of the 00s.

Coin flip if the cartoon is absolutely unrelated to the bible or if it constantly hamfists lessons down your throat. Bonus: no matter how much you look it up now, you can't find it, no googling, no AI, it's just gone, fifty seasons with 999999 episodes each and you just can't find it
>the Gummy Bears cartoon. Either you vaguely remember it, or you have a huge crush on one of the girls. There's no in-between
>literally all those gross-out cartoons over the years, outside of whenever there's a thread/article about grossout cartoons. Seems like every time you look one of these up, it's got way more episodes than you remember, was made in Canada, and kickstarted some now-huge celebrity's career
>The Fairly Oddparents. Dunno if it counts, but I DEMAND you to look FOP up right now and compare when you stopped watching the show to how far the show went on. Do it. Ten fuckin' seasons and everyone only remembers 4

was sharky and george the first full show to be drawn with digital ink an paint from start to finish? idk that because i havent seen confirmation of sharky and george not being hand drawn, scanned and then digitally painted. the technology to do what you described had been available since 1983 and sharky and george came out in 1990, so to me that seems like too wide a gap for it to be the first anyway. maybe nobody bothered until then, who knows.

Not necessarily, by 95 and 96 it started showing anime like Captain Tsubasa J, but then in the late 90s and early 2000s it got shittier directors and decided to turn it, and I quote, "canal de caricaturas sin violencia"!

Funny since they were the only ones who aired the first 2 seasons of Ren and Stimpy allegedly uncut, including Stimpy's fan club which was committed from Nickelodeon's late 90s LatAm set of episodes they sold to MTV and Televisa Canal 5 in the late 90s.

But I still remember all the shows their air, including Inspector Gadget, New Kids on the Block, My Little Pony G1, Heroes on Hot Wheels (Formula Uno Casta de Valientes), New Kids on the Block, Hammerman, Wish Kid (Mi pobre angelito), Hammerman, the real Ghostbusters, New Kids on the Block, Bright Sparks and among others, oh and The Porky Pig Show, Roadrunner and Coyote and Merrie Melodies show

They also showed Britshows like Victor and Hugo, Avenger Penguins and of course Count Duckula!

Oh and a few obscure animes, most of them the Saban licenses like Bumpetty Boo, Samurai Pizza Cats and Peter Pan, Sandy and the Koalas, both japanese and American sequel of Dogtanian, oh but they also Showed Samuel El Duende Magico, The 80s Wizard of Oz anime (both seasons) and Grimms Fairy Tales and those were the uncut japanese versions with no edits!

That was my childhood! I even remember goin to a neighbor l's house and they had playing Grimms fairy tales, the episode with the evil cute girl demon with drarf hay which was banned in the Nick/Saban dub!

It was dope man, I miss that channel!

I can't really speak for its quality since i barely watched it at the time, but it was the 'oh they ran out of good shows to air' moment on adult swim for me
Only thing i remember is that episode where the airplane flight they are in is hijacked by criminals and bob sleeps through the whole thing because its weirdly violent compared to how milquetoast the rest of the show's attitude is

>I feel like every few years a channel made something like this

I had one of the books and it took me literal ages to actually connect the dots that the show was a loose adaptation of it (or the concept)
Not the first 'weird kids book adapted into cartoon by canada' and not the last

This looks like something someone would pitch as a joke in a comedy about the industry.
