Despite being from the late 70s and 80s, it's fantasy so it ages well.Bone by Jeff Smith"This One Summer" (2014) is more young slice of life but I enjoy it.Empowered (a comic series) by Adam Warran, though it is cape-involved, it's a bit of inversion of the cape-genre that manages to get surprisingly involved and deep, especially by Volume 4.
