I'm sure the crossover was using more classic/evergreen interpretations of the characters, but I also think the fact editorial let it through means they aren't married to the 'Paige' name and direction. In Justice League Red, she was never called that and was only referred to as Kara in the story proper. It's the small victories that give me hope things will be fixed will be sooner rather than later
