>>155111622I thought Sharkfag only liked weird underdog movies. Antz was critically acclaimed and a financial success.
>>155111595I remember thinking the giant food and legs scenes were incredible when I was a kid. Side thing but I also really liked how that one Pixar short looked with the guy playing chess with himself. Something about the visuals on older cgi films was just so pleasing. Feels like a painting.
Shrek 1
PDI division first two movies are still great to this day.
El Dorado could've used more. It only has 3, and they all come from the same character

I thought the ending shot as they pan out showing that the entire movie and all the locations takes place in a small section of a public park, I thought that was really unique and stood out to me even after all these years.
>>155111595Antz always felt weird to me. Not in a bad manner, but more like surreal or like a fever dream.I guess the art style is the main culprit, but dunno why
>Quest for Camelot>Mulan>Antz>The Rugrats Movie>A Bug's Life>The Prince of Egypt1998 was a busy year for theatrical movies. Certainly more than 1997 (which only had Cats Don't Dance, Hercules, and Anastasia)
>>155112890But it also had Princess Mononoke, Perfect Blue, Crayon Shin-Chan: Pursuit of the Balls of Darkness, and The End of Evangelion for the japanese counterpart, so that's something. 1997 was a really interesting year for animated movies.
2004 was a really bad year for the PDI division.
