>ruins Miguel>ruins the same Peter Parker they nailed in the first movie>ruins half a dozen more Spider-men with shitty OOC cameosWhy aren't more people upset about this sequel? The entire movie is an exercise in making miles look good by turning every other spider-man into an asshole in a circlejerk ala the council of reeds. Except that shit just plain doesn't work with spider-man. Most spider-men just wouldn't give up in trying to save the people they love because of some absurd canon event bullshit.I don't mind different interpretations of a character, but these are just OCs using the brand for money. It's not core to the heroism of the character.
I was more upset about them selling half a movie that doesn't even really have its own climax.
>>155112153>Why aren't more people upset about this sequel? At this point the contrarian thing is to like this movie.
I didn't like it because the unrelenting visual carpet bombing made me feel old. It was bloated in a way the first movie wasn't, maybe it was the shit pacing the second movie had.
>>155112153Bendis is a cuckold faggot. I hate that bald fuck. Ruined Superman too.
>>155113440Superman was never good.
>>155112153It's been like 7 years
>>155113457You were never funny or interesting
>>155112153I find it ok, they build up the risk of breaking continuity enough to make reasonable for the spidermans to care, if anything Miles was impulsive and crazy
>>155112153blame sony for trying to cash in on multiverse saga hype, you think they give a fuck who Miguel is?the sequel should've been a grounded story with a bigger focus on Miles and some new multiverse cameos and my best girl Bombshell.
>>155115006Nice argument
>>155112153
does anyone have the leaked footage?I can't find it anywhere
>>155112153>>ruins Miguelactually gives him depth, also make him a faulty hero because even if his intentions are good, the way he does it is bad... Also physically the best Miguel ever made.>>ruins the same Peter Parker they nailed in the first moviedad with a daughter is being ruined? ok>>ruins half a dozen more Spider-men with shitty OOC cameospunk was well done, pravitr as well, and for the others, movie too short to give meaningful insight.stop bitching. Movie was amazing.
It just got way to meta with calling them “Canon Events”. It defeats the purpose of a multiverse, where you essentially can do literally anything, but go: “Well these things ALWAYS have to happen no matter what”. Which seems more like a time travel idea than multiverse stuff like the idea of fixed points in Doctor Who I also hate that whenever I bring up how I don’t like Spider-Verse Miguel or Spider-Verse Noir I get hit with “Well it’s an adaptation it’s allowed to be different.” I get that and there are adaptations of those two that I like: Shattered Dimensions and Edge of Time. But that’s because they stay true to the characters even if they change certain stuff. Spider-Verse just made an OC and named him Miguel O’Hara and flanderized Noir Peter. It’s fuckin bullshit man
>>155115905>dad with a daughter is being ruined? okOP hates the fact that perter is happily married and has a kid instead of being a broke teen 24/7
>>155116070It's the classic problem of, mostly for Miguel, what exactly is Spider-Verse "Adapting" here? I guy with a particular look? Cause pretty much nothing about him in Spider-Verse requires this be Miguel nor does it do anything particularly interesting with his set up.
>>155112153>None of them know anything about Miguel>He either gets fags lusting after him because he's buff now or idiots calling him based for shitting on Miles>Too many people treat canon events as a dilemma worth discussing instead of just rejecting it like the garbage it is
>>155112153Spider going from street level crime to cosmic and multidimensional arcs has been a catastrophe for the character.
>>155112185nah man, normies still love this junk.
>>155112153It ruins Miles too. He was a decent character in the first one which did a genuinely good job validating his existence in the IP. This movie fucks it all up and makes him super special "nah imma do my own thang" and backpedals on his relationship with Gwen too.
>>155115905absolute fucking liar. Miguel having depth is one thing. Turning him into a careless piece of shit who'd just be ok with killing someone to "somehow" save the multiverse is straight up character assassination. Peter B may have a daughter but he is constantly treated like a joke, especially by the irresponsible pregnant negress who's just interested in getting her adrenaline fix at the expense of her baby. Punk and Pravitr were both shit and notice how, aside from Miguel, it's only Peter who get's character assassinated into being ok with murder. even though we know some of these Spider-men and they would absolutely not be ok with doing that.Stop shilling, the movie was steaming dog shit.
>>155112153Shit's woke.
>>155117268They choose Miguel because he was the most unique multiverse variant of Spider-Man to contrast with miles (basically more dick sucking to miles). He was created to be a inverted version to peter>Peter is young when getting his powers>Miguel is an adult>Peter is a smart but has a down to earth job>Miguel is a super scientist from the future>Peter is more serious, while spider-man is quippy>Miguel is quippy (in a more dark humor way) while spider-man 2099 is serious>Peter's suit is red and blue>Miguel's suit is blue (or black) and redI could go on but that's most of what I can think of in the top of my head. While Miles is just black peter, so Miguel must be lynched because there's only one truly successor worthy of being Spider-Man and it's the black kid.
>>155112153The Fucking "Canon event" was the worst thing this movie could make.
>>155119971It is insane they just said "arbitrary plot device" is the reason for the plot and just expected the audience to still stay invested.
>>155112169This. Fuck that ending to hell. I was so mad, I refuse to watch the sequel out of spite.
>>155115006Glad you dont disagree about superman
