The Kingdom of Dakshina has fallen, its once beloved king now a demonic tyrant. But against him rides a brooding headless horselord and his brother, a decapitated talking head. Joined by unlikely allies, he must battle demons, monsters, rival kingdoms, and forgotten gods in a relentless race across a dying empire, and reap vengeance on the monster king who stole his head-with whom they share a dark past.Illustrated by Hazem Ameen, lettered by Marco Della Verde and written by Deepak Thomas, Headless Horselord is a sword-and-sorcery adventure soaked in the myths, monsters, and mayhem of medieval India.Chapter 1 has been released for free. The rest of Volume 1: The Two Kings is launching September 8 2026.
Looks interesting.
I like how much of a selfish dumb unreliable narrator the Monk is

>>155123545More solid lines. Some parts look like sketches.
>>155121208>JTTWWhat's that again?
>>155126664I have no clue.
>>155126664>>155127282https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Journey_to_the_West
>>155127510Couldn't write that out? Never would have guessed it.
>>155128538yeah thats fair, i probably shouldn't have used an acronym here without explaining what it stood for. Journey to the west is a pretty famous novel, but this isn't a literature focused board so its less likely for people to get what I meant from context. anyways for a little further context, the idea of a chinese (themed) monk going to an indian themed place to retrieve sacred texts seems like a possible reference to JTTW.
>>155128949People know Journey To The West. No one fucking uses an acronym for it.
>>155113483Oh look, it's a girl naga.
