Will this affect the future of indie animation?
no, the future of "indie animation" has already seen this shit happen with amazon and HBO and nobody gave a fuck so here we are. youtube are just being greedy as is their MO
Just have a two tier algorithmOne for frequent uploaded and one for infrequent uploaders And go back to thenpriginal absence model where ads are aimed at viewers and are independent of the content being watched.
>>155113721No
>Youtubers going to Netflix>GTA 6 trailer netflix exclusiveI don't get it. Isn't Netflix just an app for movies and TV shows?
>Literally happened one day prior to this reportApologize
>>155113721Youtube 100% deserves it if people jump ship.
>>155114680This guy has the worst luck. LMAO
>>155114805>>155114680>YouTube demonetizes both of Zeurel's channels
>>155113721Finally, an example of capitalism working as intended.
>>155114910Also many would bring up YT's content policies directly as a reason for switching to Netflix
>>155114659They're muscling their way in, apparently. I don't know if they plan or even want to work their way in to general video hosting, but its the sort of thing that makes sense as an "earnings must go up" strategy. Like right now we're seeing larger projects get their start on youtube, and then making deals with Netflix or Amazon where they get a big old payday which google in turn sees as them taking views. They may not be at the point of letting little timmy upload his YTP or the slop goblins shitting out shorts, but stuff like the latest GTA VI marketing getting a few hour jump start on Netflix is a shot across the bow that they're looking at taking some of that view share.
>>155114680Never
>>155114680>Picture credit: YouTubeLMAO now that's peak investigative journalism.
>>155114659Nah Netflix even offers shitty phone games for your smartTV now.
>>155113721>"""indie"""
>>155115801Fuck off.
>>155115829Are you really indie if the government of Australia is paying your bills?
>>155115829Sneed...
>>155115880Yes. retard
Never expected to see the day YT got its comeuppance. I hate Netflix as well, but seeing two shitty companies hurting each other just made my day.
>>155114659Netflix has a history of changing their business. They used to just rent out DVDs
>>155114910I suppose going to college to become a YouTube animator is the way forward now.
>>155115890Australia won't pay their bills themselves, newfag.
