Previously, after what Striker, Veil and Hazmat had done Tigra wanted to expel them but instead Pym told the students to take time off. Finesse decided to take the time to track down Taskmaster, who she believed to be her real father. They fought as Taskmaster's memory issues made him feel that he'd remember her by her fighting style but in the end her style was just a copy much like his and while there was no definitive answer, he agreed he likely was her father. Tigra, after debate with the other instructors, decided to rescind the explusion. Pym had Leech tag along with Hazmat so she could spend time without her powers. She went home to see her parents but realized as of now there wasn't any real going back. The students, Justice and Speedball went to the Stamford memorial where they were attacked by a group called the Cobalt Men. Speedball defeated them and got some closure.Veil, not wanting to feel useless, decided to free Janet from Underspace but it had instead been Carina Walters, lover of Michael Korvac, the whole time. Korvac, sensing her, returned but by transferring the students into the bodies of their future selves they were able to defeat him via a blast of anti-matter from Hazmat that scattered him.Today is Avengers Academy #13-14.1.Previous >>155102505
Oh look, we get to see some Initiative characters too.
Looking at release dates this came out around the same time as Onslaught Unleashed so I guess it takes place before, hence Rikki being here.
Oh damn, I completely forgot about that Giant-Size. Ah well, it was Arcade shit and was just a three issue mini that basically got cancelled and released as a oneshot instead.
Issue 14Because Gage constantly has to sweep for Slott, we get an issue that helps play set up for Ends of the Earth.
>>155116363I'm glad one of her last things she did alive was attend Super Hero Prom. What a way to go out, really.
>>155116252nice cover
Pietro knows that the average Marvel citizen is a moron.
Issue 14.1
Briggs will show up again in the later portions of the series. That's it for today. Next time is the start of Fear Itself and for that we'll be moving away from the Academy to the Initiative's last hurrah for Fear Itself: Youth In Revolt #1-3.
>>155117124His grievances aren't entirely misplaced, to be fair. No amount of "well our scanners said..." is going to entirely wash out the fact that they did in fact send in kids, on a false signal, which led to the destruction of property.Pietro does have the right of it, though. These kids are lucky they're mutates. They were a couple letters away from being way worse off.
>>155118168The regular heroes rarely get it better than mutants. Remember in JLA/Avengers when Cap thought that the DC citizens were all brainwashed because they weren't hysterical lunatics ready to lynch the first superhero they saw for spurious reasons?
>>155117615thank you
>>155117124What's the deal with Marvel citizens?
>>155116559Nice to see him back to being a goofy guy.
>>155121160They make heroes honest by being awful.
>>155117298Always great to see her.
>>155116255such a pretty dress~
>>155121516That was two Headmen members Gage used. I don't think he ever used Morgan or Chondu though.
>>155116433Makes sense why she was a villain for a while recently, shes too autistic
>>155116846Oh yeah Dr. Edgypus.Someone should storytime ends of earth, it was fun
>>155117124Getting to be in bed next to tigra aint a bad way to heal
bump
>>155124498Sure, why not?
>>155125848Because no one's reading anymore.
>>155126682Oh, okay.
>>155116296>16 year old who looks like he's 30+A cursed existence to be sure.
>>155123005I don't think it was really all that great. In the end all it's really notable for is setting up Superior and being the last appearance of Big Hero 6 before they got taken away from Marvel.
Bumping
An ancient Asgardian called the Serpent has been freed from his prison. His hammers have fallen to Earth, taking control of various superpowered beings and transforming them into his minions the Worthy while the Asgardians have withdrawn from Midgard. The heroes attempt to deal wtih these threads but at the same time others are needed to deal with riots, protect citizens and attempt to keep the peace in a population being driven mad by fear. To do that, the Initiative is restarted.Today is Fear Itself: Youth in Revolt #1-3.
Issue 2
You know, I wonder how old Cloud 9's supposed to be. I kind of figured she was a teenager but here it seems like she's around college age and old enough to be living on her own.
This is where Cloud 9 gets her cool flight uniform costume instead of that ugly-ass shit she had in the Initiative.
Issue 3
>>155129521>Avengers not REvengersCome on, man. Thanos Imperative was probably still happening in-Universe if we go by timescale. Too soon, random Marvel civilian, too soon.
That's it for today. Next time is Fear Itself: Youth in Revolt #3-6.
>>155116559I can hear the early 2010’s and I don’t know how to feel about it.
>>155130438These comics are at a minimum old enough to be in high school and possibly drive.
