How come this Care Bears show from 2012 didn't have as good of TV viewership as the 80s Care Bears series? It didn't even reach a million viewers.
>>1551186172d mogs Cgi animation
>>155118617aww
Terrible marketing. The marketing team tried to forcibly turn it into another MLP, complete with a brony-inspired fandom name ("belly-bros") which they rolled out before a single episode had aired. And everyone knows that forcing a meme is the most cringe thing a company can do.
>>155118617How the heck did Catscratch and The X's manage to have episodes reach a million viewers, but this Care Bears show didn't even though Care Bears is a popular and well known brand?
>>155118842Because Catscratch and The X's came out in an era when Nickelodeon still marketed their original cartoons really hard.As opposed to now where they'll be lucky if they get a single commercial before Nick cancels them three minutes into the first episode.
>>155118617I have the bear with the moon on its belly
>>155118617Did this Care Bears even air on a major network that most people had?
>>155118680FPBP and no interesting villains
>>155118617I would totally fuck cheer bear up the ass
I would also fuck grumpy up the ass
>>155119085It aired on The Hub, which was not popular. This may just be another thinly veiled Hub autist thread.
tenderheart got a nice ass also. I would totally fuck it
>>155119456I like her design from The Care Bears Family more, there's just something about putting clothes on usually nude cartoon characters that does something to me.
>>155118617Because the Care Bears were an 80s phenomenon, simple as that. Very young children don't watch Care Bears or anything with a plot, they watch Cocomelon.
>>155118617Cgi slop and shitty character designs
>>155120349Don't forget that Cheer Bear is fat, too.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51TfUAM2B_g
>>155118842Care Bears is more popular but the brand has been treated poorly
>>155120349Partially clothed is hotter than fully nude. Cheer Bear and Grams bear, when Grams Bear is rocking her jacket insteaad of her old lady glasses and shawl, are pretty hot.
>>155119569Yeah, I kinda had a hunch this would lead to another purge of Hub threads to the horse board. Like if they care about it, though.
>>155120465Are any of the girl Care Bear/Care Cousins not overweight? That’s the natural outcome of being made to be stuffed animals.
>>155118842I assume they had way better timeslots than the Care Bears
>>155118617I will give you an answer since I was actually still a kid back then. It simply didn't reach me and I didn't know it existed. I did watch the Hub where it aired but they must have not aired it enough for me to remember it well. I much more remember the 80s care bear series which I was only able to watch because my parents had it on VHS.
>>155119456>>155119488>>155119614 the fur texture is too carpet like
>>155121817>my lobster is too buttery
>>155121825too much detail can very easily detract from a design. I was not a fan of Crash Bandicoot's fur in the remake because it looked stupid and jarring for what was basically supposed to be a looney tunes character.
>>155120349I guess the clothes are ok on normally nude care bears... this side view of cheer is so hot. nice thick ass and a little chub going on
>>155121817their first reboot was also done in CGI, and altho didnt have the fur detail like W2CAL, the designs were fucking horrid, they always looked sad, like their faces were all designed this way. they look like depressed bears. im glad they didnt stick with this animation as it SUCKED! and they actually made a 2nd movie with this same bullshit animation which was surprising. it did them no justice.
the core of the care bears is to help children against a "not satan" entity that allows lessons of the days but also really creepy evil scenarios. New shows are trying too hard to make it Smurfs 2.0 but without gargamel or any villains at all. Of course it keep shitting the bed.
>>155122860its been like this since their first reboot... they dont actually help kids anymore... they help themselves.
>>155120713No, all the characters had that soft, huggable build. The secondary benefit of this is the plush toys matched up better in appearance compared to the TV characters
>>155122864Yeah, the '80s were like that. Characters interacting with human kids and lessons to be learned by the end of the episode. After the 80's, it was everybody for themselves. I think kids cartoons should go back to having the human element. Look at My Little Pony. They absolutely don't know what the hell to do with it aside from re-churning Generation 4. They should go back to the Generation 1 formula: a couple human kids having adventures with ponies in a magical world of peril. Maybe create a series that's set before the ponies fully took over what they now call Equestria after having exterminated or driven out the other species, and reintroduce Megan, who is older, and has kids of her own. Everybody's been wondering what the hell happened to Megan, Molly, and Danny.
>>155120976 soul >>155118617 soullessthat's all
>>155124009THIS. the Nelvana era of care bears was the best! the DIC era wasnt too bad. everything else is SHIT
them as cubs was a pretty awesome idea, and growing up. altho the 2nd movie pretty much voided the first movie where the care bears and cousins didnt know each other until they were fully grown. but in the second they all grew up together. some bullshit right there.
bump for more care bear love
>>155118617How good was the 80s series? I remember watching the movie and it was boring as hell, but I've heard the show was better.
>>155125741the show was pretty good. the movies... the first one was ok but the second one contradicted the first movie. the first season of the show was based off the 2nd movie as it included noble heart and true heart. after the first season they were never seen again
