Does anyone actually prefer the Games episodes based on the episodes themselves and not the production issues?
Even if you judge them based solely on their content and not your feelings on the BTS drama the Games episodes are still a downgrade IMO
The Spumco episode had more psychotic and off-color moments that were lacking in the Games episodes
I assume that was on purpose but it's not as funny or insane without it, they end up more like the multitude of R&S knockoffs that followed it

They are alright. People only bitched about them, because they didn't know what was coming
>>

Games was more about quantity than quality.

>They are alright.
That's pretty damning praise
I guess they are alright, but what does that say? I didn't think the Salve episode or the other one with That Man or whatever his name was were very funny but they're alright.
A key example of what I mean though, the scene with Mr. Horse in Rubber Nipple Salesmen (was that an episode finished by Games?) is really fucking funny because it's so weird and disturbing, the way it's done and voiced makes it so funny, probably my favorite moment in the series
Were there that many moments like that in the Games episodes? Maybe Reverend Jack and Stimpy's Cartoon Show but that's a given considering the subject matter

"Alright" means they are alright. Good background noise.
BTW people that actually have lived through the 90s don't care about R&S all that much and wouldn't be able to tell the difference between different seasons. They were doing more interesting things.
We actually don't have to worship every single piece of junk that came out in the 90s. Stuff like R&S or EEk the Cat were made to be disposable trash that exists only to make kids sit through commercials. It wasn't made to be worshipped for decades by people with Asperger.
And stop studying different writing teams and animators and who made what episede. Doesn't matter if one episode was made by Jewy Rubinstein and the other one was made by Shlomo Goldberg. Stop filling your head with useless nonsense. You are not an animator. You aren't in the animation biz. ANd if you were you would animate instead of doing endless pointless research

I just can't do it. Can't pretend Ren and Stimpy is some sort of work of art. It just isn't. Camp or John K is still the same thing. Aleksandr Petrov it is not

They were fine. I never noticed a change as a kid. I think the only people who give a single shit about it want to suck off John K.
I’m sure there are anons who will dubiously claim that they could tell a difference even before knowing any of the BTS drama, but I don’t know anyone IRL who did.

Did guy get banned again? The bait is taking awhile to work this time.

I dunno if it's autism or what, but I could always tell when different production studios worked on episodes as a kid. It was mostly from watching so much WB stuff, particularly Animaniacs/Tiny Toons which had a lot of contributors with unique styles. Looney Tunes as well; I could always tell a Chuck Jones apart from a Robert McKimson or whatever.

Imo, the difference is that the Games episodes are more standardized (but still better than most kids shows airing at the time). Felt almost like a Hanna Barbera cartoon. It's also missing the psychodrama aspects since nobody on staff is insane like John was. Seriously, dude looked and sounded like a serial killer in that documentary.

There are some great Games episodes, usually from Bob Camp or Chris Reccardi. The worst episodes of the series are all Games, though.

Adult Party Cartoon is overhated. Every episode, good or bad, has something memorable. Now the Jenny Jaffe reboot, THAT'S one where every single episode is irredeemable garbage.

You mean an industry cocksucker doubleposted trying to anticipate me as the only way he has to assert himself?
Wowww.
Now if only he, or you, could use your garbage dump brains to do what an elementary schooler can and read my stories. That would actually be something.
