YET ANOTHER ANIMATED? INDIE PILOT https://youtu.be/dXqXWY4eREk
>>155137641This one actually looks cool. I wish it was fully animated.
Man peoole don't just make a cartoon and see if it gets traction. Its all a pilot with maybe some BIG PLANS kickstarter and plushies and tshirts.
>>155138377Isn’t that exactly what this is, though? I think the reason to do an animatic is to see if the idea has any legs and potential fans before going all-in on animation. Calling something a “pilot” is just a way to tell viewers that there could be more if they like it.
>>155138377>kickstarter and plushies and tshirts.Did this one really have those?
>>155138415No. Anon apparently didn’t watch it.
>>155138413I think this is how the actual animation pros do it. In fact I think this style of "pilot" is in fact what was once called the pitch which is meant to get money for the pilot.
>>155138553Yeah so this is just a pitch concept then do a whole pilot to get the idea fully made out
>>155137641This has MUCH more inspired designs, layouts and voice acting than that school election one, even in this barely-more-than-storyboard state. The MC constantly being LOLSOQUIRKY and the boy being an anime retard got on my nerves, but if it gets made into a series with actual continuity, this can be rectified.
>>155137641Neat!
>>155138781Yep! Do a bitch reel to get people invested. Raise the money, then produce the pilot and a number of episodes. I think.Guessing with the pitch method you get all the nessaey info out for people to judge. If you can tell your story in such a crude format it means its got a solid foundation and will produce a masterpiece with the right amount of money.
>>155137641Apparently this is a rejected 2023 Cartoon Network pilot the creator thankfully was given the go-ahead to repurpose into her own indie project. Good for her!
