What went wrong?
>>155139313>reverse search>some show my dad grew up with 25 years ago. >series went on 6 years and ended a year before I was born I have no clue what you are wanting to talk about.
>>155139313You know what went wrong. We've had plenty of threads going over what went wrong. There was a time we had daily threads about what went wrong.
>>155139313Too hateful; too many fart jokes.
>>155139313Making Hoss Delgado into a villain in that sasquatch episode
>>155139313Personally to I think one of the few things that went wrong was making Mandy Mary Sue-ish as the show went on. Felt jarring as hell. Liked her a lot when she was just that creepy weird neighborhood.
>>155139313Is the industry really so bad that animation vets can't find work? I know Stephen Silver also left
>>155139313he didn't revive bunnicula
>>155139313Michael Ouweleen hating his guts for some reason
should have had a future episode where Mandy forces Grim into marriage
>>155139313>Mean-spirited garbage
>>155139339You're trying too hard
>>155139741Faggot
>>155139313the animation industry being on fire is what went wrong for Atoms
>>155139339This is obviously the Guy at CN who blocked the show from returning with a special on grounds "kids won't know what a Billy & Mandy is"
>>155140272That’s what they get for not reviving hell’s favorite cartoon
All the characters became Flanderized as fuck and then when FredFred Burger showed up the show went full on meme
>>155139313I was not sure just how he went from having the cartoon that had the most airtime, most advertising, and all the movies and specials he could want, to never ever being on or mentioned ever again. It's like he was caught with some Warner executive's wife or something.
>>155139313Michael Ouweleen
>>155139313autismart industry being run by hall monitoring homosI'll just send him money directly
>>155140272This is primarily the answer. The industry was insanely fucked back in 2007-2010 and by the time shit got a little better, the show was off the air for years and everyone at CN long replaced so there was no chance at reviving anything.
>>155140387Stuart Snyder wanted to clean up the channel’s image after the ATHF bomb hoax
>>155139313Warner Executive in 2008>Hey everyone, I have this amazing idea for a totally new direction for the network!!! Kids like Discovery Channel right?!? What if WE did that?!?!Warner Executive in 2010>Hey everyone I have this amazing idea for a totally new direction for the network!! We fired the last guy and everything he did is long gone!!!Warner Executive in 2011>Hey everyone I have this amazing new idea for a totally new direction for the network!!! Since we fired the last guy, I'm burying every single old idea he ever had!! We're focusing on more stuff like Adventure Time!!!Warner Executive in 2015>Hey everyone I have this amazing idea for a totally new direction for the network!!! We're focusing on short form 11 minute series for everything!!!!Warner Executive in 2017>Fuck it, just play Teen titans Go, I'm busyWarner Executive in 2019>Hey guys, I have this amazing idea for a totally new direction for the network!! All younger kids shows forever!Warner Executive in 2021>guys I just got fired....Warner Executive in 2023>Who the fuck even watches tv any more? and I just got fired...Seems like a few too many shakeups where the new guy wanted to change absolutely everything and generally be 100% different from the last guy.
>>155140425Also iirc they did offer him work, but he kept saying no because they only ever called him up for remakes and he wanted to make something original
His show got 6 seasons and 3 TV movies. What else could you possibly want? Not every cartoon is gonna be Spongebob
>>15514049008' seems like a weird time. They had a standard lineup of just a small handfull of Cartoon Cartoons that dominated all their timeslots with KND, Billy and Mandy, My Gym Partner is a Monkey, Ed, Edd, and Eddy, and Camp Lazlo. Then cancelled all of them at the same time. Replaced them with just Chowder and FlapjackThen a year and a half later replace those with Adventure Time and Regular Show. They kept cancelling their entire channel lineups and replaced them with just 2 new shows a year or so for the remainder of the 2010s.
>>155139313His show ended after a pretty lengthy run. The main issue was his own ego. He wanted to headline an original series of his own creation after that and refused all work afterward. When the animation industry does not work that way. You can be a plain ol storyboarder on one job, a director on the next, then back to entry level Storyboard revisions on the next. It's not a linear path to the top and Atoms assumed it was.
>>155140565Or maybe he didn’t want to contribute to the slop machine and sacrificed his livelihood to do soYou’re so quick to be judgmental because of all the gay fanfiction Millennial women wrote reconciling their bad feelings about forcing bad employers on young men with metaphors of them being “gays in love”
Isn't he the lead writer for that Vampair thing now? Anyways Cartoon Network put him out to pasture because his shows weren't in the TTGO demographic.
>>155139313Dead Meat left him broke.
>>155139313Huh, he looks kinda like that guy Tyler from fight club
>>155139339>17 year oldUnderage b&MOOOOOODDDDDDSSSSS
>>155140957He was born in 2008 and it's 2026. Could be either 17 or 18 years.
>>155140860Nope, I'm 100% right and you're a faggot. Glad we cleared that up!
>>155141054Stop projecting
>>155139313Hollywood failed him, that's what.
>>155140565It was for Genndy Tartakvosky. He didn't have Genndy's record, but B&M was far too successful to waste him on derivative make work. What happened is he pissed off c-suite and they hold grudges forever. Mick Gordon encountered something similar at id when he falsely believed a creative could win a shoving match with a parasitic manager.
>>155140172Sperg...
>>155142576That's the name of the bully of the show.
