Realistically, if DC were a serious company that actually planned things, Waid’s superboy from Action should have been about Jon Kent de-aged and back in smallville with Lois while they both try to figure out how to contact MIA Clark with some old kryptonian device on the Kent farm and he interacts with the legion who are searching time and space for superman. Superman would then be about Superbro in metropolis. Could have had him live in Lois and Clarkks apartment while Jon and Lois were gone. Do a six issue mini about Clark out in space doing whatever you can come up with that keeps him from just super-shrugging and going home.

This could go on for a year or so and then have them all reconvene in their annuals to locate Clark.

But DC is run by retards and segmented into fiefdoms.
