>it's all about spider-man and wolverine
Yeah?
>>
>>155146451
There's nothing to worry about because humans are fucking stupid and will keep buying it. Never forget how STUPID human customers are. Disney and other companies know humans are stupid.

It's been happening for some times now, friend.

don't forget
>big houses head into a steady decline as they milk their legacy franchises in the face of eastern dominance
>>
>/v/ has completely plumbed their board's depts of anti-woke whining that they come to this ghost town to start the train back up again

Gaming is fucked. The people at the top are rich, lizard-brained executives who already have more money than they could ever spend, yet they're still obsessed with making the line go up. The writing is bland corporate slop, budgets are completely out of control, and then they wonder why nobody's buying.
>>
>two biggest marvel games
>japanese company
>chinese company
>>
>>155146607
I stopped gaming all together. it's just not fun anymore.
>>
>>155146791
side note, this is kind of why i never start buying issues of a series that isn't finished
>>
>>155146607
they're making the line go down, anon
gaming from 1985 to 2015 was about making the line go up. You got a little confused I think.
>>155146721
I also mostly lost interest, it just feels like a chore. I know what I want in games, and it's just not what's being made, nor what the indie game company I'm working for is making (because programming is hard)
>>
>>155147197
>I know what I want in games,
which is?
>nor what the indie game company I'm working for is making (because programming is hard)
try not hanging out on /co/ and go work on your game, anon
>>
>>155146451
why would you ever let geoff johns and brian michael bendis make video games op you fucking moron
>>
>>155146451
It already happened 15 years ago.
It happened to movies 20 years ago.
It’s happening to TV right now.

Comics have always been ahead of the curve on industry rot. Twenty years from now, all other entertainment media will be awash in pointless crossovers, stories with no stakes, evil morals and zero-effort products churned out simply for the sake of hyping a future product, just as comics are now.

The game doesn't even look bad, this is just performative and using this as a platform to give SONY shit for their anti-disc production maneuver planned for 2028. Why don't you go back with your "SONY blackout" protest that has a laughable end date to it
>>
>>155146451
They get a ton of tie-in movies and shows?
>Netflix Castlevania, DMC, Dragon's Dogma, fucking Onimusha, Redident Evil, Halo, Fallout, Borderlands, Twisted Metal etc
Oh, huh.
>>
>>155146451
>t. never touches a book or a game
>>
>>155147454
>performative
chudposting culture war aside, it's about as close as you can get to comparing easterners and westerners putting out products using the same copyrights at about the same time and seeing how they perform against each other
>>
>>155147454
That would imply gamers care over real issues instead of made up ones
>>
>>155147234
>which is?
*extremely meaty and satisfying sidescrolling platformers (like I want one that feels like Smash Bros in terms of versatility of attacks, air control, recoil, etc)
*3d Zelda-likes
*creative monster hunting, possibly involving elaborate ecosystem studies, and maybe even breeding them and shit
*really creative firstperson games where you have some unusual way to manipulate the world e.g. the gravity gun, portals, etc

>go work on your game
I'm just an artist, I have to wait for the director to order something and have the money to pay for it. I get a lot of input, but I can't make programming easier, so we're stuck doing pretty simple stuff. Lot of VNs, sidescrolling shooters, things that don't require a ton of new drawings.
>>
>>155147393
Nah I'd say it happened to TV 15 years ago.
>>
>>155147737
Am I using that term wrong? Should I have said "reaching" instead?
>>155147746
The disc whining is all they're talking about now. The blackout thing is supposed to start 8/23 and end after a week. Though no one is going to do it, at least enough to make SONY care. But the key thing here is that Wolverine looks fine, it's just releasing during a time when gamers are having the worst fit ever
>>
>>155146451
Finally noticing? I mean there have been threads on /v/ about it for ten fucking years now.
>>
>>155146451
You are right. We should create a video game version of comics gate.
Maybe called it game gate
>>
>>155147825
>reaching
i think you are good there, anon, but i also think this game's shortcomings have more to do with the studio who made it as opposed to its publisher
>>
>>155146451
Thanks to Gaben we have a function indie marketplace though. If the mainstream embraces a race to the bottom you can just check out of that crap & find games that you actually like. For me, in the last year alone I got
>Silksong
>Demon Tides
>Motorslice
>Mina the Hollower
Plus older games I just found like
>Death's Door
>AstLibra
>Spiritfarer
>Neon White
And both Rusted Moss and Crosscode have sequels in EA or late development. It's a great time to be indiepilled.
>>
>>155147454
>The game doesn't even look bad
They made Wolverine look like a soijack and gave it retarded cinematic game play.
>>
>>155147393
Pretty much this. They're already infecting Japanese video games and soon Manga.
>>
>>155148133
>They made Wolverine look like a soijack
He doesn't look like that, you just see that everywhere.
>>
>>155148136
>they
you lost the plot. japanese wolverine is doing well.
