You can't watch this show for the story or out of any interest in the DnD aspect, because neither is important. VM is made by voice actors who need to give themselves "deep", "emotional" dialogue that shows what Serious Actors they really are. Anything else, up to and including the DnD setting, is incidental to this priority.

Anybody who wants to remove all death forever everywhere is inherently evil. One thing is to revive some friends or family, but to kill the concept of death is ridiculous. That being said, fuck Pike, she deserves to be expelled from Vox Machina and be considered a villain in history for life, even if she ends up saving the world from not Vecna. She and Scanlan can go live in a cave and fuck for the rest of their lives for what she's done. Somehow, I doubt it went like that on the original campaign.
