Obviously the more VRAM you have the better, but most of this stuff is based around NVIDIA GPUs, so AMD and Intel will have some efficiency tax.As for software, up until about a year ago I was using bare ass StableDiffusion WebUI. I recently switched to Forge Neo (which is basically just upgraded SDWUI) and I've definitely seen an improvement in both speed and tool flexibility. If you have enough patience and mental fortitude, I would recommend ComfyUI instead, but trying to navigate that shit left me in the fetal position in the shower. That's the only way to do local video gen, though, I think.As for base model, if you plan to use a FUCK TON of individual loras like me, it's always best to go with a base checkpoint like Pony, Illustrious, or Anima instead of a specialized finetune. Personally I use WAI NSFW Illustrious v16. It does a really good job of adhering to the loras I shove up its ass. I would use Anima, which is even better for western cartoon style characters, image composition, and even native text gen in images, but there is just NO support for it at the moment. I mean there's a good bit of support for it, but it has nowhere near the catalogue of characters that Illustrious has at this point. If I can't generate Emma Sue in the style of classic Eddsworld then what's the point dawg?
