Web shooters > organic web
>>
web shooters are fun when Peter creates different web fluids.
>>
>>155223000
I'm sick of this even being a discussion. Of course it is.
>>155223012
for this and so many reasons. criminy.
>>
>>155223012
>web shooters are fun when Peter creates different web fluids.
why not just do both webshooters for the specialized stuff and organic as the default
>>
>>155223000
>Said no one ever
>>
>>155223052
that's goony as hell
Johnny Storm doesn't carry a flamethrower with napalm in it
>>
>>155223000
Web shooters makes the whole radioactive spider bite redundant. Bro should’ve been called bugboy, or cockroach man
>>
>>155223000
Gadgets are fun, smart characters that invent their stuff are fun. Shooting ropes out of some wrist holes is disgusting.
>>
>>155223211
You telling me you don't want Spider-man ejaculating a bunch of sticky white fluid over you?
>>
>>155223145
the point is he's not JUST a mutate, he's also a scientist.
his bio powers include strength, agility, sticking
his tech powers include web generation, tracers, and (most amazingly of all) a flashlight.
>>
Mary Jane wanting to see how web fluid is made seems like a good scene. And I mean that in the literal sense because a more detailed process and actual time being blocked out as to how long it would take Spidey to make a new set of cartridges would be interesting, be a nice scene for MJ and Peter to interact, and it would heighten realism and add new rules for fights/scenes to play out later. Doesn't have to be forever canon, just interesting. Also I would think it in the sexual sense because MJ making Peter's web fluid would prove most arousing.

I wonder if there any other new methods to depicting web fluid artistically or mechanically. There's the two so far being the classic pic rel and Todd's webs. Perhaps one idea is to make the MK1 shooters so to speak, shoot different stages of web in rapid succession like a loom. This type could be the kind Peter first invents, with a large compressed air tank, bulky piping, and some mechanism that is clumsy in how it cuts the web away from his wrist.
>>
>>155223089
I've said as much actually
>>
>>155223244
You do?

I know nothing about the comic versions, but I like to think he also uses silly string for the webs.
>>
>>155223000
parker hardly ever does mad-science stuff like this. he invented a wholly new substance and a delivery mechanism for it on the first try, and that's all the inventing he attempts for ages. i can remember a few instances of him doing things like whipping together a cure for something or other, but most of the time it's easy to forget that he's a science wiz.
>>
>>155223000
Well duh. Organic is gay
>>
>>155226222
To be fair the Marvel world has super science as a middle school level class
It's got Stark casually making nanobot swarms and the Fantastic 4 casually making time machines so much that they piss off archaeologists for leaving shit behind
>>
>>155223000
I remember something about nanite costume. Did he ever upgrade his web-shhoters to be thought-activated?
>>
>>155223133
This
>>
>>155223000
Is this still a euphemism when it's not organic web?
>>
>>155223000
>anyone can be spider-man
yawn
>>
>>155223843
"realistic" super hero time managment and nothing tony or bruce do makes sense
>>
>>155223000
I'll admit I'm biased since I grew up with the live action movies but I do strongly feel organic web fits a lot better. So many of his feats, abilities, and fights revolve around his ability to shoot webs. By making them just another tool and piece of equipment I'm forced to think, "why isn't he handing these out to everyone?" You have a mass produced substance that's capable of tying up superstrengthed villains, hold up cars and trains and buildings together, and only one person ever uses it?
>>
I will stick with combining the two. He can produce organic webbing but uses mechanical spinnerets for web forms more complex then just the stereotypical rope webs.
>>
>>155227385
Web dissolves too quickly to be marketable. He tried selling the formula to get rich once. Everyone told him it sucked.
>>
I feel like the issue with web shooters is, How is he even a spider then? Because he's strong? Spiders aren't known to be strong. Because he can stick to surfaces? Why isn't he Gecko Man? How is he literally any different from any other animal that sticks to walls?

I get that the idea is that it's supposed to show Peter Parker being a genius guy too, but that "trait" barely even exists.
>>
>>155227196
>euphemism
Which?
>>
i like to imagine peter producing the web organically but only slowly like a spider so he must jack off web every night to store into the shooters.
>>
>>155228422
Jacking off
>>
>>155223000
I guess, it just feels kinda weird that he's closer to Batman in that regard instead of just naturally having the ability to do that.

Usually the tards that disagree are powerscalers, secondaries, Raimifags (although those movies were good), or people that love the JMS run. Why would you like that run? Yeah, MJ and Peter are the highlight, and also #500. So?
>>
>>155223886
>I wonder if there any other new methods to depicting web fluid artistically or mechanically.
I think that the drawing you posted was drawn by Romita. If you compare it to Ditko's web, it was very different
>>
>>155227441
>Web dissolves too quickly to be marketable. He tried selling the formula to get rich once. Everyone told him it sucked.
And that's retarded because it still has plenty of uses and can be altered to work longer
>>
>>155225447
me too, I don't have any hate for the organic route, it's fine, but I much prefer them being constructed because people often forget he's a scientist. He already gets a bunch of powers from the spider-bite, it makes sense for him to have one ability at least that's of his own design and not just gifted to him by fate.

just do both for fucks sake why is this ever a question he's spider-man he makes webs but he uses his genius to make those webs specialized with shooters he invents
>>
>>155223000
>>155226052
Shooter with a lever going up to the palm really is the only way the iconic hand gesture to shoot webs makes sense. It's even right on the toy box. You put your middle and ring fingers on it and bend your wrist to press it down.
"Super-sensitive electrodes" like the comic says wouldn't work through cloth. If the cloth is conductive then it would misfire constantly from touching the palm of his glove.

Only because it's the only thing they ever use to show he's smart instead of just saying it.
But they should say it and show it more often.
Peter is one of the smartest in the world.

Honestly I prefer organic because of 2099. I liked his arm motion better, and it made the whole radioactive spider thing more cohesive.
But Miguel also got foot claws, fangs, and "spider vision", so he was more bug-like overall.

He has seen things Tony Stark missed, for instance.
>>
>>155231422
Why does she look like the chudjak
>>
>>155231422
>Only because it's the only thing they ever use to show he's smart instead of just saying it.
He can modify them as well, it wouldn't be possible with organic. Asbestos bitch. Oh wait, yeah he would consume homemade drugs for altering them. That's dumb. I liked that he used the cartridges as tools in the Spectacular Spider-Man jail episode

>>155231448
You're a 2099fag, you're aight nigga
>>
>>155231486
Because bad memes infected your brain. She looks like a chimpanzee
>>
>>155223000
>>155223018
I like implanted web shooters, fight me
>>
>>155223052
This. He also needs an octopus repellent and a Spider-Plane
>>
>>155223000

Peter inventing webshooters and the web fluid by himself is stupid because if he was that smart, he should be a billionaire instead of a bum.
>>
>>155223052
maybe it's all still organic fluid but he has wrist mechanisms that can turn it into different forms?
>>
>>155230882
I like the JMS run from the start up until 500 I liked his Peter I liked morlun and liked Pete being a teacher. Sure it’s retarded to think that someone with peters attendance record could reasonably be an actual teacher but I liked everything about his relationship with the kids we saw. JMS is a lot like Christopher priest where all it takes is being a decent personable dude and it’s easy to forgive for the crimes they did against spidey. Yeah sins past and OMD but it’s easy to see how it’s mostly editorials fault on those but he always owned up to them and never attacked fans for criticizing him

This . He got spider powers he should be able to shoot web
>>
>>155227521
He wasn't bitten by a radioactive gecko, and he has the "proportional" strength of a spider, which is supposed to make him super strong.

In the early days, Peter showed off his genius mostly by figuring out how the tech the latest whacky bad guy was operating worked and fucking with it.
>>
comic purist spergs that want peter to be a 900iq mega genius that still somehow lives with his aunt like mechanical webs
normal spiderman enjoyers that prefer the more grounded and relatable everyman peter prefer organic webs
simple as
>>
>>155235560
>genius that still somehow lives with his aunt like
>comics purists want this
Are you like, retarded?
>>
>>155230991
Nigga they got nanobots and hardlight and matter replicators what possible industrial uses could steel cable silly string have in that world?
>>
>>155223000
Trips of TRVTH!
>>
>>155223000
Organic is too convenient. Why does it come out of his arms?
>>
>>155229341
I see..
>>
>>155237599
>Why does it come out of his arms?
I don't mind that it comes out of his arms. I just wonder why Organic Web Peter needs to do the gesture to use them.
>>
>>155237599
>>155238851
at least according to stan lee, they went with web-shooters because they didnt want to explain why it came out of his wrists specifically
though ditko probably couldnt agree fast enough since he always had a fascination with mechanical gear
>>
>>155238871
>why it came out of his wrists specifically
Well, you could explain that its easier for humans to manipulate the threads if its closer to the hands.
>>
Remember when it was the Spider-man with organic webs who ran out of it?
>>
>>155235860
yeah
>>
>>155223000

do you really want peter to have bulging subcutaneous glands under his wrists at all time?
>>
>>155237599
This. It should come out of his ass.
>>
>>155238892
Mutations being self aware like that seems like a stretch.
