Hey I didn't read this shit
This captcha is the hardest thing I've ever done and I translate for a living
Or maybe I'm just blitzed as fuck
>>155224422It's fine once you get used to it.
>>155224451Probably just the tequila then
Going into this with the assumption it's intentionally not muh WW
>>155224493It's supposed to make you think that Tex, but it ironically becomes the most muh WWIts mainline competition being King certainly didn't hurt
Absolute Cringe
>>155224521IRL people keep telling me that but I've refused to believe them until now so let's prove me wrong
Circe???>>155224543I know I am but what are you
>>155224580Oh so we're getting full meta here
Wait a minute this is actually good
Diana being raised by Circe certainly makes the "Diana is the magic expert of the trinity" thing actually feel intuitive
damn liquor stores closed
>>155224834>Bezos
This feels a lot like a Silver Age Green Lantern issue

Really impressed by the very 30's, H. G. Peter look Diana has
Wait how did Amalia win Ms. /co/ in 2026, was there new Wakfu that I missed
I am quite happy with Diana's voice in this, I must say
>>155225319That's an interesting thing to say about Steve
>>155224407Hey, this is cool to see storytimed. You read any of the other Absolute stuff yet OP?

>>155225588What's that phrase for a character that becomes progressively more cutesy and innocent over time? Because that's what's happened to Barbara lol

Alright I'm going to sleep, thanks for readinghttps://mega.nz/file/REJjAIIa#5X-AwMFhIMxP0Y9aPvbylxY1DnleRKIoxoqWVbP4GJgBTW, you might wanna check this board over the weekend if you happen to be a fan of the JSA...
>>155224597And Circe should know, seeing as her father is Helios.
>>155225558Martian Manhunter is very visually interesting. It really does play with its style. Definitely a fun read.
>>155226040>happen to be a fan of the JSA
>>155224407Ah yes, Wonderwoman (BPRD).
>>155224608AHHH!!! A SNAKE!!!!
>>155226605>BPRD ?
>>155226605It's a good angle. It didn't really work for me when they tried Justice League Dark but it's aces here.
Thanks anon.
>>155226022>>155226027>>155226033Approved.
>>155224580>TRY IT FOR ME ANON>TRY TO SAY THE WORD ONIONS
>>155226605You know, I never thought of it that way but when you say it like that the connection does work.
>>155227762Part of it is because it's not tied down with DC's existing magic stuff, so the separation between "spoopy shit" and "mythology shit" feels more natural so far.Part is because they've done the work of weaving magic into her backstory. It follows so naturally from the "what if Diana was raised by Circe" conceit I can't believe I never thought of it before, it just werks. And then part is because JLD never had a Hellboy. In this, Diana is like if Liz had Hellboy's powers and that's awesome.
>>155228642>It follows so naturally from the "what if Diana was raised by Circe" conceit I can't believe I never thought of it before, it just werks.because you naturally wouldn't think of her being raised by one of her villains? and it's not even the first time someone did it, kind of once again copied Ares training her in the New 52this whole thing completely breaks the character and retards insist it should be done in mainline. Wonder Woman is not a witch, end of.
>>155228905> this whole thing completely breaks the character and retards insist it should be done in mainline. Wonder Woman is not a witch, end of.This is why cape comics staying mired in an incestuous shared universe always exhausts me. This run of Absolute Wonder Woman? Actually really good. I'd love to read more of it, its interesting and I want to see where it goes. But its not *wonder woman*. Not that I am saying I would rather have more generic Diana adventurers instead of this, but by associating this cool and original story with that old IP and carrying over the characters, this GOOD story will always remain in the shadow of the "main" version of the character that it is a spinoff of.I would much rather that Absolute Wonder Woman was called absolutely anything else, with a new character name entirely, that was allowed to stand on its own two feet instead of it being destined to forever be this blatant cashgrab filler sidestory to try to revitalize an old character by association. Remember when comics did that? Made new heroes that were not just corporate brand extension?
>>155229234I share the idea of keeping things isolated as far as possible.
>>155224674Hold on this storytelling isn't ass.
>>155228905>because you naturally wouldn't think of her being raised by one of her villains? As an Elseworlds? Yeah, sure I would, and I have. It's a pretty standard role-reversal and I think such stories often tell us a lot more about the character, like in Red Son. Or in other books that recontextualize the characters like Secret Identity.Like here, you have Diana raised by a villain, but instead of just turning evil, her presence actually makes Circe good, and changes how Diana views the world without fundamentally changing who she is.>retards insist it should be done in mainlineYeah this is what made me avoid reading this for so long even as other WW fans told me it's not what it looks like and it's not another Azz run. Because while that ended up being true, the majority of readers (and writers) are drooling simpletons who take away all the wrong ideas, and think what makes this good is that Diana has a sword and rides Pegasus and does magic, when what actually makes it good is how those things contrast with the canon version, and the writing itself. We've seen what happens when you give Diana a sword and Pegasus in canon already, and it's boring as shit, and made by hack fraud writers. It's like if people looked at Absolute Batman where he's a brutal douchebag, and instead of thinking about how this relates to the core of the character, what aspects you can change before it stops being Batman, they go "hell yeah dude if they made canon Batman like this I'd actually read the comic!! (lie)"

>>155225204Maybe anons got better taste. And new Wakfu novel with Yugo Amalia fucking
>>155226040Thanks for the storytime anon, are you planning on storytiming another Absolute book after this one?
>>155225174Adorable blush
>>155224643>>155224658>>155224674Considering how it looks like the Absolute-ness is finally coming to WW as of late, it's gonna hurt a whole lot if (when?) Circe becomes a villain as well.
>>155236500Wouldn't that be retreading Barbara becoming a villain too?
>>155225059Why is she so ugly I thought Diana was supposed to be hot
>Barbara gets a loving mother in circle and doesn't even know she lost her people because she never met them>Bruce's mom is still alive and he has a friend group even if he's not a billionaire >Kal lived on krypton for over a decade and had friends and saw them all die in front of him with just him survivingMan darkseid really hates superman Even batman started with a better status quo in universe
