Greg Weisman confirmed at Fan Expo Chicago that the live action reboot is dead.

>CO: I don’t know if you’re allowed to answer this, but there was some talk recently of Gargoyles returning in some form to Disney in animation or live action. Is there anything that you can share?

>GW: Well, I know the live-action side of it is, uh, the Atomic Monster had the license to develop a live-action Gargoyles for Disney+, and that’s dead. I have no idea about animation, but there are no current plans for live-action.

Thank Christ it’s dead.
Just leave Gargoyles as it already is, we don’t need it ruined by a live-action remake.
>>
I guess it’s a result of Disney reducing live action shows in general.

It was going to be ass anyway. We weren’t going to get any gargoyles besides Goliath and Demona in the first season.
>>

Good. Unless you had someone like Gore Verbinski and millions of dollars, we would get a very disappointing stain on this franchise.
>>
>>155228836
I still wouldn’t want to contribute to Disney’s live action addiction.
>>
>>155228342
Doesn’t this also confirm the animated reboot that Brent Spiner mentioned isn’t happening either?
>>
At this point I simply dread modern remakes and adaptations of anything. The current crop of creatives in Hollywood have a brown thumb: everything they touch turns to shit.

The comic books have been solid. They just started a new series this month.
>>
>>155229782
Just that he doesn’t know. They could be working on it without him knowing.

What is this, a picture for ants?
>>

Then was Brent Spiner talking out of his ass?
>>

He didn’t say anything about the live-action reboot. As for the animation one, either he or the person who told him got confused with the Ciro Nieli pitch or the comic revival, or Spiner broke NDA and Frakes and Weisman are playing dumb.

>with the Ciro Nieli pitch

God, don't remind me.

as the old saying goes
the first post is the best post

It was funny how the Grimorum Arcanorum was an important part of the plot even though the Archmage ate it.

>Nieli
Dear god, talk about a dodged bullet, have you seen the abomination he made of the Ninja Turtles?
>Mike is made into the biggest retard ever and they treat him like he's likable for it.
>April is some kind of not-Jean Grey instead of her own character.
>Nieli himself complained about writing her with powers for some reason despite it being his own idea.
>Being good or evil, as demonstrated by Karai and Shredder both, is somehow presented as a matter of knowing who your biological parents are.
>Karai gets turned into brainwashed snake so she can be evil for a bit longer because they didn't know how to write her as a good guy.
>The season 3 conflict is resolved by Mike being a retard who comes up with a solution he can't replicate because he's an idiot.
>Season 4 solves the season 3 cliffhanger by time travel that arbitrarily can't be repeated
>Splinter is "killed off" again and again for cheap drama and then they act as if it matters when he "dies for real"
That show is such a fucking unintended parody of cheap drama that it's not even funny. I swear, the only reason anyone sucks that show's dick so hard is because it wasn't as bad as one might think the first show made under Nickelodeon could have been.

What happened to Jordan Peele? He hasn't done anything in years. I thought Gargoyles was his next thing.
>>
>>155234034
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought the 2012 show was grossly overrated
>>
>>155228342
I just know it was Greg's autism refusing to be wrangled. Even more specifically I bet he wasn't willing to bend on Time Dancer Brooklyn, the most retarded plot he's even made.
>>
>>155234759
he shouldnt be that hot
>>
Jordan Peele must be relieved.
>>
>>155234759
I’d be surprised if Weisman did anything beyond consulting on the series.
>>
>>155234759

Surprised nobody has draw him with the "cover them up slut" meme
>>
>>155235068
It's still funny to me that Disney preferred passing on the chance of working with Peele post-Get Out than do anything with Gargoyles.
>>
>>155228342
do we really need live-action adaptations of everything
>>
>>155228342
>Live-Action Gargoyles Reboot is Dead
Good fuckin riddance.
