With Peter Cullen's passing, Now is as good a time as any to read some Transformers comics. Beginning with the one that started it all: the original four issue miniseries from Marvel Comics that actually predated the cartoon, making it the first non-toy Transformers media. Time to transform and roll out.

As everyone probably knows by now, originally Marvel ordered just four issues of Transformers, but it sold so well they altered the ending to be a cliffhanger and turned it into a monthly series that lasted until 1991. But I just wanted to do the first four today. If I storytimed more, which would you rather see: more of the Marvel stuff, or something modern like the Skybound comics?
