>>155235013I think there's a difference between publishing one book that you write and draw yourself on an irregular schedule and being able to afford to keep it going even if it's not selling that well, and producing a whole line of titles which are mostly on a monthly schedule and for which you're employing a lot of other people to produce.The Spawn books have to be making enough money to justify there being about five or six ongoings plus several minis at any given time, if Todd was just burning money keeping a whole line of books going when nobody was buying, that would be newsworthy and people would have noticed and been talking about it.I know it's just anecdotal, but a guy at the comic store I go to told me some of the Spawn books sell, some don't, but anything with the girl Spawn in sold well for him.
