I think it's a recurring thing with the robot characters, maybe Jeph thinks it's funny or has some idea of how it makes sense. Maybe it's supposed to be a 'childhood photo' but wacky because robots don't really have that? Even then it's weird for Momo to have one of her brand new chassis with nothing else in the photo, not her previous one to represent an earlier time in her life or, way more sensibly, one of chibi her with Marigold as an actual "family photo" with emotional meaning. But again, I think maybe Jeph sees that as funny. As a boring answer, I guess it could self portrait she drew/painted.
