I didn't want to hurt you. I'm just a jealous guy

I wish there were more storylines highlighting how there would be weird things like this to consider when humans date aliens. Having an entirely different biology and literally coming from an alien culture would make these problems the norm, not the exception. Like imagine dating an alien where it was normal for them to trade left eyeballs with you after mating.

Read Orson Scott Card's book Speaker for the Dead. It isn't about humans dating aliens, but it is about scientists studying aliens and realizing just how difficult it is to understand their culture and biology.

This is basically what happens in Speaker for the Dead but it isn't a joke.

No, he just hates aliens

Just a reminder that when Arisia aged herself with the ring it aged her not just physically but mentally. She was an adult in every conceivable way and it was just another form of artificial aging which is already common in comics. You should be more weirded out by characters who date clones or someone like Bart Allen who are technically like kindergarten age without rapid aging.

What does that mean? I understand having her body reach adulthood but your mind only reaches adulthood by experience right? Hence we have arrested development.

If its the ability to have consent what is that ability and how does it manifest? If its an interest in sex and romance its the very thing that invoked this so shes already had it. If its understanding of those feelings were are back to age being experience.

What are the.mechanics of it all?

She doesn't, really. She's a human with yellow skin and pointy ears in all but name.

Stanislaw Lem's Solaris for hard mode. But not the Kilmartin-Cox translation.

And therefor meaningless. For all we know she still has the same brain and mind as her minor sense still making her a minor.

No the magic ring magically made her a major. It's all good.
