Thinking of him finding Yaldabaoth's remains petrified and shattered. No choice to offer, no fix, no hope. Thinking about how he resigns himself to dissolution within the glitch, paying John no heed.I don't know if Yaldabaoth was able to offer him any ultimatum in the end, but I think about how HS:BC Dirk is in touch with his shards, with his selves across other timelines and similar shenanigans. Thinking about how he may wonder what the worst case scenario could be, how a part of himself experienced exactly that scenario, how that exact scenario did irrefutably already happen... I used to wonder how Dirk could become this villain, this megalomaniac that desired control above all else. But in hindsight, it doesn't seem so surprising.
