What's the difference between the average superhero comic and an editorial cartoon?

Political cartoons are more entertaining.

>More people means less available housing, jobs and resources for social services
>Excessive Immigration is the exact cause of the problem
>>
>>155250543
Yeah dude less available housing has nothing to do with big corpos snatching everything up, SURELY. Speculation is not a thing that exists in real life, right?
And it's not like gentrification has historically made rent prices in majorly ethnic(read: immigrant) neighborhoods go up, right?
This is easily verifiable stuff with actual data to back it up, you're either very naive and keep falling for a very simplistic view of the world, straight up retarded, or you're living on a completely different reality

>Yeah dude less available housing has nothing to do with big corpos snatching everything up,
There's also regulations preventing construction of new housing and policies like rent control that make it cheaper to keep buildings empty. Shit like blackrock IS a problem but ignoring everything else fucking up the system is disingenuous. Beside that soulless mega corps love endless low skill workers that don't need to be paid minimum wage
>it's not like gentrification has historically made rent prices in majorly ethnic(read: immigrant) neighborhoods go up,
Lower crime rate with more money for renovations means more people will pay more to live there.

I just know from the smugness this is going to go in endless circles because people like you can only view one thing as a problem rather than a combination of multiple factors.

60 million people being added to the population in the last 20 years has done nothing to raise real estate prices?
>And it's not like gentrification has historically made rent prices in majorly ethnic(read: immigrant) neighborhoods go up, right?
The majority of "gentrification" is being driven by immigrants, or are you one of those idiots who think all immigrants are poor?
>>
Rich politicians love hauling in the dumb foreigners who work for less than a livable wage, which lowers the standard for the rest of the workforce.
>>

The foreigners aren't dumb, the working class ones don't pay taxes on their earnings and they get government gibs so they're doing fine. The white collar immigrants get paid better than Americans and then gradually take over the hiring division of whatever field they work in and only hire people from their country.

I actually agree with you on regulations making it worse for the construction of new housing, and I do agree that we shouldn't ignore other causes of problems, but come on, the post I was replying to was implying that excessive immigration is the EXACT CAUSE of those problems.
The thing is: the root causes of these issues are invariably tied to big corpos. Blackrock buying property that should be bought by the people, massive layoffs of white collar jobs, the complete erasure of the american middle class. Do you think these are caused more by the retarded mexican doing your lawn or making your coffee, or is it caused by the mega corp that's paying like 90% of the politicians in office so that their interests win over the people's interests?
Illegal immigrants are an easy target to get mad at, and of course there are issues with illegal immigrants, but the USA has WAY bigger problems than that. Isn't it fucking weird that despite the middle class of the United States all but disappeared, while rich people only get richer? Isn't it weird how the US keeps bailing out failing megacorps while your neighbor is having issues with paying rent(to, most likely, a megacorp)? Isn't it fucking weird how lobbying became so commonplace in politics that it's almost synonymous with it? Do you want to know why regulations and policies are making construction of new houses more difficult while at the same time making it easier for blackrock to buy your childhood home? It's not illegal immigrants
Megacorps don't love immigrant workers, they love the american government. They will give them a bailout, a blowjob and a convenient scapegoat so that they continue to make a shitton of money while people look the other way.
I don't think illegal immigration is any good, but a better america would be working to make these people into model citizens. Current america doesn't do that even for their own born and bred citizens. The money is there, why isn't it going to infrastructure?
