Does /co/ like Polaris?
>>155261808>first PolarisMILKA
I don't know who that is
I like green girls
>>155261836Magneto's daughter
>>155261836One of Magento's daughters
>>155261808Yes but making her Magneto's based did more harm to her than Austen and Claremont..They need to put her and Havok back together and let them run Xfactor and humiliate Scott and his Nazi brood
>>155261934Let it go, anon. We literally just had a thread of arguments about that.>>155261962Nobody ever benefits from being retconned into being related to a more important character.
>>155262006>Nobody ever benefits from being retconned into being related to a more important character. This really should be routinely sent to writers in every form possible.
>>155261808No, she's pretty shit.>>155261962Is Marvel going for X-Men 97 synergy yet? Jubilee and Sunspot? Polaris and Bishop?
>>155262085I'm not even convinced turning Cable into Nathan Summers was a good idea, it wasn't what Liefeld and Nicieza wanted.
>>155261808Ye
>>155261808gifted actress trooned out. sad
I remember thinking her first storyline was neat when the original X-Men stories were storytimed, she was just kind of there sometimes for the rest of it and the Byrne insert stories, don't remember what she did in Claremont X-Men since that was over a decade ago I read that and I didn't get anywhere close to completion, and in X-Factor other characters seemed more interesting. Her visuals are good, but I can't call myself a fan of Lorna.
>>155262314Saw it happen in real time as she uploaded vids on youtube, her single parent mother's a low functioning psychopath.Fed her fear, guilt and anger since she was a child to keep her under her thumb as everyone else eventually left.As she's tried to navigate her own way in adulthood the mother's only gotten more insecure and spiteful, using every trick to financially leech her and legally cripple her. I'm not sure if it happened but she said she even feared her dog would be taken from her, if you know anything about support animals that is psychologically distressing just as a thought. The judges have been the gullible, out of touch types who listen to the crocodile tears from a single mother over the abused and overwhelmed child who just speaks frankly so it didn't sound great and she seemed to be trying to vent as much as possible for her mental health, to get through to people like her and her mother watching so they'd just stop but also trying to avoid what might be used in court as defamation. It's tragic because, pun unintended, she really is a gifted person, smart, creative, didn't seem to look down on what she worked on.I imagine the negative impression her mother presented of a woman her whole life may have something to do with wanting to excise as much of her identity that's shared with her as possible.
>>155261808Slop character, just as bad as Havok. This slut has no fans.
>>155261808
No one ever really knew what to do with her long term
>>155261808>Does /co/ like Polaris? You'd have to be a pretty gay X-Men fan NOT to.
No, she is a BLACKED whore.
>>155262332Polaris got introduced too near the end of 1960s X-Men, and along with Havok, got left out of most of the team's appearances between then and the 1975 relaunch, and didn't make the cut for the new team either. Claremont had even less interest in Lorna than he did in Alex, and just had her repeatedly get mind controlled or possessed by villains when she occasionally appeared.Polaris basically got nothing but scraps through the 70s and 80s, with 1990s X-Factor being the first time she'd been part of the regular cast of an ongoing book since the late 60s, and that was probably her peak. Basically she's irrelevant to the Claremont-era fanbase, and to everyone since she's a B- or C-team character. Retconning her into being Magneto's daughter hasn't helped raise her profile at all. Even when fans voted her onto the main X-Men team she wasn't who Marvel wanted to win the poll, and Duggan had no plans for her. Even when she made it into X-Men '97 it's just to turn her into a love interest for Bishop of all people, purely because of superhero writers' most common fetish striking yet again.Maybe a hot girl with a cool costume is all a character needs to be someone's waifu, but Polaris' history is a long story of neglect and wasted potential.
>>155264623>Sharkfag spotted sperging about a character he irrationally hates yet againDon't you ever sleep?
Is she really just a green Scarlet Witch?
>>155265631Of course not, she's Titty Magneto.
>>155261808She's a hot mutant with Magneto's power, green hair, green lipstick, and a mentally unstable yandere. But compared to Wanda and Pietro she's barely known or that popular. Is her secondary power being ignored?
>>155265595>Even when fans voted her onto the main X-Men team she wasn't who Marvel wanted to win the poll, and Duggan had no plans for her.Hate this sort of thing, it's good to have fan input but at the same time if the staff aren't able or willing it basically just reveals the illusion of choice behind the curtain.
>>155262314Wait, are you serious?
>>155264650Based Lorna getting Big Bishop Cock now.Sorry Alex.
Built for Bishop
>>155261934Always liked the the designs in this show
>>155266387boobs
>>155265771Yandere hurts long-term. If you look at successful women in Marvel, they favor healthy ones for both individual and romantic success. Even the ones that were in poor health are usually "something bad was done to me, and I overcame it to became a good role model to other victims" or just ignore it when being pushed.
>>155261808I don’t even know who that is, just give me more Wolverine.
>>155265595I think Peter David's two X Factor runs with Lorna are the best versions of her character, but that's not enough to raise her profile. A lot of her modern appearances suffer from making her Magneto-lite in terms of power and ideology.
>>155265771She also went crazy at Genosha and shred all clothing to go on a naked rampage, that's kino.
>>155268693Damn, good for her.

Wolverine and the X-Men secondaries are the worst out of all the X-Men secondaries
>>155261808magneto's prodigal daughter
>>155275696>secondaries
>>155275696Ultimate X-Men did a similar thing with Pietro and Wanda, and it’s probably the most influential X-book of the decade. Professor X and Wolverine practically became their Ultimate selves
>>155265595Claremont hated Polaris because he did an interview with the fan press around the time he started writing the book and mixed her and Jean up, saying she was Scott's GF and he had big plans for her. The interviewer called him out on it and corrected him and omitted the gaff from the published interview but it spread like wildfire and Claremont responded by spending his long rub shitting on her and Alex.
