I quite liked how apes where always bastards in Primal, I just thought that was kinda funny and also made for good action. Sorta reminded me of how in the Legend of Spyro the apes were also scumbags you didn't feel bad bashing about.
Dinosaurs are awesomeYou can dilate harder
>>155273729I thought it was a cool inversion of the normal King Kong trope.
>>155273339I love cavemen and dinosaurs
>>155273828Honestly I feel like apes work really well as villains since they are primitive and cruel but intelligent enough to be threatening. Like the Skar King in the recent legendary Godzilla and Kong film was a lot of fun and Koba was a major highlight of the POTA trilogy. Also I find ape sounds immensely funny and like hearing evil apes making their noises. Also yeah it's so damn refreshing to have the reptile be the heroic perspective against the primate, I really always give props to stuff that show reptiles in a more positive and protagonistic light.
>>155273828You'd think so, but the whole show is a callback to early pulp stories, especially anything by Robert Howard. The first Conan story has him fighting a demon ape, as does Queen of the Black Coast. In general you can expect a pulp protag to fight any sort of animal.
>>155273339Better than Smiling Friends but not autistic enough to have the same meme fanbase
>>155274244You’re going to like supernova then. The whole movie is a Godzilla character arc. Which test screeners have been loving.
>>155274354yeahstill, the title being one word away from the coolest fighting game ever made does bring all of that ape vs dino shit to mind
Fuckable dinosaur
>>155273339If you can't easily grasp what made Primal so beloved, then you might be a lost cause. Genndy made a cartoon catering to everyone, cuz EVERYONE thinks dinos and cavemen are cool as shit
>>155273339bait used to be great mate, now it's all second-rate sheit
>>155273339You wouldn't get it, philistine
