It's time to admit Batman & Robin was actually a good film.
>>155274899hell yeah Schumacher >>>>> Nolan Slop
It's a guilty pleasure of mine and there are a few parts I genuinely like (set and prop design, Clooney Batman's final interaction with Arnold Freeze.
>>155274899Good? No, even Schumacher disowned its flawed execution from studio interference.Entertaining? For the most part.Next contrarian take.
>>155274899hell of a cast
>tfw Absolute Batman is going to be the canon Batman for the next 50 years
it is really fun to watch andd it has cool practical sets, Uma Thurman and Schwarzenegger scenes are fantastic. but its not like a good story. That said I used to fap to Ivy and Batgirl in it all the time
Rubber lips are immune to your charms.
>>155277678Batman taught him well
>>155274899its still funny to me that people pretend its bad for being campy. even all these years later.
>>155277768It's bad for blatantly recycling every plot beat from Batman Forever, it literally follows the exact same structure, except replace the Bruce retiring / un-retiring as Batman subplot with the Alfred dying subplot. The camp wouldn't be bad if the movie had some soul, but it feels like a soulless cash grab, it feels like nobody was into it while they were making it, just going through the motions to make an extended toy commercial. I'm not a huge fan of Batman Forever, but at least you could tell Joel gave a shit on some level.
>>155277827>recycling every plot beat from Batman Forever, thats basically comics in a nutshell though, so i cant really blame them for thinking it would work AGAIN. im not even a massive fan but it has a weird p[lace in my heart for the weirdness of it.
>>155277827>The camp wouldn't be bad if the movie had some soul, but it feels like a soulless cash grabperfect fucking way to put it. B&R is so damn boring to watch, it's not so bad it's good, and I unironically like BF a lot even though that movie's kind of a compromised mess.
>>155274899I like the score.
