There was a time when everyone online collectively saw preschool cartoons as being the lowest form of entertainment, now you got adults watching Bluey and people making videos on the "lore" or Sid the Science Kid or some shit.
>>
This is what happens when you stop bullying Naruto kids. You reap what you sow. Bring bullying back.

I think the scary fact is adulthood as society once idealized it, the stoic men and women who took everything the world threw at them with a stiff upper lip and didn't have any cringe behaviors stopped with Gen x. Millennials and zoomers never really got a chance to do many of the "becoming an adult" rituals. Not saying this is good but might be one of those fabled recession indicators

It's cause they're pedophiles. It's not just adults who watch preschool cartoons though, it's adults who watch cartoons in general.

Anyone whose seen her stuff knows its 4
The real problem is just how much she fucking leans into it.
How do I put it? Even as an autistic guy myself, I look at what she makes and it brims with insecurity and a need for validation. She goes past simply being "weird" and into the territory of "haha look how weird I am, does that bother you? You're not ready for this! Also please validate my nonconformity please notice that the stuff that got me bullied growing up is actually really zany and quirky."

Literally scroll through her videos and look at the titles and you'll start seeing what I mean.
It's like looking at Tumblr in human form. Not like the politics, but that weirdly stunted need to show what "look how much I'm NOT a normie!" thing that Tumblr has in-common with this website.
She can't just review this shit and have it be the channel schtick. You, dear viewer, at all times, must know just how much of a hecking quirk chungus she is.

Not entirely her fault, in the current landscape it's either that or constant self-deprecating. Aggressively quirky or cynical irony poisoning.

This is the internet we created.

It’s easy to forget that animators and hardcore animation fans were always oddballs and social outcasts, this dates back to the golden age of animation, guys like Chuck Jones and Tex Avery had funny personalities as described by people who worked with them. This also goes for animators of the 90’s and 2000’s, they were the kinds to take pictures next to their own characters.

But while they were a little autistic, they had actual taste and knew their shit about animation as an art form, cartoonists and cartoon fans of the 90’s despised lowbrow slop like baby spinoffs and 80s toy commercial shows. Nowadays animators and fans are just a bunch of consumerist manchildren, it’s like they know animation circles back then were full of odd people who showcased funny personalities but forget that they also had sense to them.

Did any preschooler ever learn anything from those gay shows, I’m a 2005-born zoomer who watched 2009-early 2011 era PBS Kids and don’t recall learning shit.

>Arthur
I don’t think I’ve ever learned any social or friendship lessons from that show, if anything I found that show more entertaining and funny than educational
>Cyberchase
I don't think I ever processed any of the math that show depicted. I cared more about seeing their adventures.
>Curious George and Clifford the Big Red Dog
I don’t even remember what those shows taught.
>Sesame Street
I firmly believe that is the only good preschool show given how timeless it is, but I’m pretty sure I’ve learned my alphabet, counting, and spelling more from preschool and my parents than that show.

The only ones that I’ve learned shit from were the nature related ones like Dinosaur Train, Wild Kratts, and that one poorly-animated Cat in the Hat show. It’s clear no other preschoolers and kindergartners learned any friendship lessons from that show given how rude as shit they were.

You need to keep in mind the culture that millennials grew up in as well: the 90s and early 2000s were a great decade culturally, western animation was great, anime was great, music was great, movies were great, tv was great, everywhere outside was full of fun, the 80’s may be praised by Gen Xers but in reality that culture was a bunch of consumerist bullshit, cartoons were nothing but toy commercials, many movies have a cheesy datedness to them, tv shows were also cheesy and forgettable, the only good thing about that decade was the music, and as a result we got some Gen Xers who praise the 80s and some who fucking hate it. Millennials on the other hand were a "good times creates soft men" generation, they didn’t grow up with the hardships that other generations had to face and lived through a near perfect culture, becoming a bunch of manchildren as a result that now are fucking up entertainment and their own children.

No, she has autism. Believe me when I say this. There's a litmus test.
The problem here is that a lot of people see an autistic girl having a boyfriend and wonder how.

What they fail to notice is the complete lack of irl friends that stretch beyond "acquaintance" half the time.
Contrasted to the males who have often smaller but weirdly often closer friend groups due to masking less. The real key here is that Athena doesn't mask but as said before, tries to package the traits in the most "quirk chungus" way possible.

Constant cutesy gibberish? A fashion sense involving oversized hoodies and silly accessories? A bed covered in plushies/stuffies?

It's fucking regression-play. It's a kawaii moe act with a tumblr quirky coat of paint.

Like, if someone in real life acted this way, everyone would look at that person and call them out on the blatantly "cutesy regressed" act. And y'know? I'm fine with that. I don't judge. I just wish we could fucking acknowledge that because its so weird how its become the "default" for fandom culture.

And the weirdest part is that they'll talk this way when discussing their horniest fanfics and shit which makes it feel even more like we're looking at some kinda freudian thinly veiled psychosexuality here

Don't believe me? Put a woman like this in a room of other women who aren't in the subculture. Watch them all avoid her like the fucking plague.

And god forbid, a dude acting like this irl? Holy shit, watch that guy get verbally dogpiled and laughed out of the fucking bar.

See, it's not even a matter of fandom. No one likes when grown adults try to act cutesy or childish because cute is inherently manipulative. That's what cute is. An evolutionary trait designed to manipulate others into orbiting you and caring for you.

If the person in question is a grown ass adult, and isn't your significant other? You avoid "cutesy" behavior because if they're not cute, they're manipulative. If they are cute, they're manipulative with a success rate.

Gonna be real with you as an autist. And no one likes to bring up this lore.
The number of sex-averse autists I've seen having weirdly blatant psychosexual "interests" in things like tickling, "squishing" a belly, ageplay, et cetera?

Sex averse isn't "no sex drive" and is usually related to sensory issues. A lot of them are also really obsessed with being wholesome and will portray a barely disguised kink/fetish as "fluff"
>>
People are heavily plugged into nostalgia. Part of this is modern shit is is being made less with less creative control on average. This is also with the average adult being less intelligent yesr after year where they must justify older material they grew up as deeper as they do not wish to move to a deeper understanding of culture. They only wish to explore the waters they know as they have been told the world is scary, but nostalgia is good.

I’m trying to sit through that Little Einsteins video and it’s just this reddit humored theater kid bitch overanalyzing shit. She’s talking about how the kids control the world or something because of how they played a drum to make the sun rise and befriend a hippo with music and also said how that black kid has absolute mastery over instruments and played all them perfectly on his first try and also theorizing how living instrument reproduction works and how the sentient Rocket hiccups and whatever. >Bring bullying back.

I swear to god dude words cannot describe how much I absolutely despise this stupid ass argument. I myself was bullied frequently both irl and online for my interests, and there was never NOT ONE SINGLE TIME that it ever made me stop liking them. For example, I was heavily bullied for liking Nintendo games as a kid, and it made me feel a lot of guilt, and I even sold my Switch and replaced it with a PS4 out of embarrassment.

But what happened after that? I played Crash Bandicoot for a month, got bored as hell of it, and decided to learn emulation so that I could be able to play those "kiddy" Nintendo games again without spending money on them. This included Switch emulation too, along with PS1 and PS2 classics that were far more engaging and fun for me than anything that my bullies recommended.

The point I'm trying to get here is that none of that shit from back in the day actually worked; all it did was make the victims of said bullying hate themselves and proceed to hate you. Their actual love of the hobby doesn't meaningfully deplete in any way unless they were never really big fans of it to begin with. The only reason why retards like you say this shit is either because you're a privileged fuckwit who never experienced any actual bullying or bullying was literally the only thing you had any skill at because you were a follower of mindless mainstream trends. Either way, that makes a normie retard and therefore just as much as part of the problem as the subject of this thread.

Millennials were raised in a society where "let them cry it out" was the prevailing advice for dealing with infants. What does that mean, exactly?

It means when the infant is crying you ignore it until it gives up on the concept of communicating its pain/needs. This results in a baby that indeed cries a whole lot less, but also grows up with a deep-seated subconscious assumption that no human being will ever care about or address their needs.
It was widespread emotional abuse at a key developmental stage, loudly recommended by pop psychology fucksticks that basically everyone born in the 80's or early 90's was exposed to.

There's no middle ground. In the past these baby cartoon reviewers would be making lore videos about Teen Titans and X-Men Evolution. Nowadays there's only toddler cartoons and "what if super heroes said FUCK" goreslop shows.

So basically gentle parenting is the overeaction to the boomers raising them to try and tough everything out? A lot of stuff makes sense now.
>>
>>155304295
I wouldn't want to marry a woman obsessed with a preschool show or anything like that, comes off as mentally challenged and I don't want my kids being retarded. Gaslighting her that I'm into her to get sex on the other hand....

Doubt: bullying doesn't exist in zoomer classrooms

Switch came out in 2017, so provided that anon is the bare minimum legal to post he could have at the very least have been born 2008.

Don't know any zoomers IRL to vouch but they bully each other all the time on social media.

The original Blue's Clues is fucking great. Classic Sesame Street too. Sometimes you don't need graphic gore scenes or sex to be good.

>Sometimes you don't need graphic gore scenes or sex to be good
Nobody said this though

She had big tits that she shows off sometimes and is a Zoomlinial who watched these shows as a kid.

This is what Nostalgia Critic and AVGN looked like to anyone born in the 70s.

He is a millennial, he knows what his kind likes.
And what his kind likes is stuff made between 1928-1967.

>So basically gentle parenting is the overeaction to the boomers raising them to try and tough everything out?
Well no, if you really wanted to say gentle parenting is related it would be from the effects of cry it out abuse; namely a disconnect from one's own emotions and needs and a hyperfocus on the needs and emotions of others.

Also cry it out had nothing to do with boomers trying to "toughen up" their kids, it was billed as a way to stop all that annoying crying infants do. It was purely selfishly motivated

I blame the horse show. It wasn't the first preschool show to be popular with manchildren, but it popularized the trend.
>>
>>155310636
The nostalgia critic popularized bitching about kids shows and movies online. To any person born before the 90s, he was extremely annoying and cringeworthy.

Not at first, the problem was he got money hungry.

She may has well just have them completely out in this video.

Younger Boomers find Gen X and Millennials still clamoring over Transformers, GI Joe, and Video Games as weird as we find Zoomers clamoring over Nick Jr. and Disney Channel shows.

No, no. You see, when WE do it, we're chronicling the industry and being good stewards to the media that helps shape our culture.

When the CHILDREN do it, it's cringe-worthy nostalgia googles bullshit that's embarrassing to participate int.

MollyHaleIsMyFriend is a zoomer, actually. People born in 1980 are zoomers, you know.
How? I just extended to range to fit any argument I make, of course. :)

Millennials are clamoring over Looney Tunes and 1957-1963 Hanna Barbera, not Transformers and GI Joe.
