Well. We all know there's a lottttttttt of these out there. Shall we talk about them?I'll start us off! Doctor Spectrum!
>>155302961https://tardis.fandom.com/wiki/Order_of_the_Black_SunDr who had these guys from the comicsSo there is s green lantern type expy in the series
>>155302961I like his costume
>>155302961
>>155303047Is he a Waller expy or a Nick Fury expy?
>>155302992I liked this comic. I think it was an early appearance of the Special Executive, which later came out in Moore's Captain Britain.
>>155303126yes
Dr. Spectrum feels weird. Nighthawk and Whizzer became regulars who got fleshed out, but Dr. Spectrum is a bit of revolving door locally, down to having retroactive claims half the appearances were a different guy in last real outing.
>>155303499Isn't Speed Demon the Squadron Supreme speedster? Not Whizzer.
>>155303537Well the original Supreme One kept the name Whizzer in his appearances, and future Supreme iterations go by Blur, but the Squadron Sinister Whizzer took his name from a comic book about the Golden Age Whizzer (similar to the contemporary Flash) and then adopted the name Speed Demon when he got a more general life as a speedy dick than specifically a reference.
>>155303167Yeah I like it too
>>155303670Sounds a bit complicated
>>155303781If you remember they are different guys, it is straightforward.
>>155302961I'm still in awe the TMNT 2003 crew came up with a homage that was so blatant, yet could still stand as his own character with a really interesting take on the powerset.
>>155304141That was such a fun episode
I quite enjoyed the Uniques, an independently produced capeshit series where most of the characters are just transparent ripoffs of characters from other superhero comics. That's not-Robin with the mask in the middle; who ultimately ends up together with the not-Velocity character next to him.
>>155304141That design is too close to just being the actual character
