leaving aside that it has already lost money for WB, who sold it for 5/7 of the money they spent, and, having sold it, cannot also have claimed tax relief against the entire cost and create headaches for their accountants by selling things that have already been written off as losses

the $50m isn't a real figure, it's Deadline's estimate; the real amount may be higher or lower

no movie makes 100% of its first week during its second week; this movie is not going to - Avatar is the only movie with a single-figure drop, and the next lowest drops are around the 30% mark, so by this time next week it will be at best on 37 domestic, but probably more like 33 or worse

if they've really sold the international rights completely, none of the international gross matters (other than in the sense that everybody's taking a bath on this thing)

more theaters = higher theater cut than concentrating on screens in high-density locations likely to attract fans, even if those screens are individually more expensive to rent than 10x the number of peorian screens
