You may not like it, but this is what peak Illuminati looks like.
>inb4 Doom
Doom should always be an independent player with "alliances" all over the place.

Captain Britain is where the Marvel multiverse congealed.

Seriously, why hasn’t he been on an Illuminati roster before? They’ll put Emma Frost and Blue Marvel on there just fine, despite both being hilariously redundant with existing members, but the motherfucking king of the multiverse space cops doesn’t get a seat at the table?

Stark and Reed being there always feels superfluous. Not as a matter of who's smarter, but who would feel inclined to be America's representative of decision making while the other is briefed or advises as needed. Two of the West's smartest guys disappearing to privately chat seems inefficient.
If Reed went he could just relay everything through a secure channel to Tony's armor, but personally it's Tony's penchant for Irondrones that makes me feel it would be easier for him to be in three places at once as a rep because, and he could double as an intermediary for how their decisions affect not just technologists but cyborgs and AI, though I'm not sure how much someone like Cable or Ultron would appreciate it.

Otherwise it's more or less a sensibly concise roster. I always felt T'Challa's addition is questionable when Wakanda is either uninvolved or very reserved in influence compared to other places so he could similarly just be briefed when something concerns them instead of concerning himself with things that don't.
Xavier's Shi'ar and Black Bolt's Kree ties, however tenuous, cover enough human to alien civilization relations, Brian has sufficient experience with time and interdimensional affairs however common place it's become, but I feel like Pym should be there just to cover any microverse incidents however rarely those show up. I think that would be it.

Aside from reworking Bendis and Hickman's tendency to make their leadership seem useless at best and often foolish. I don't think the Illuminati should be treated like Ubermensch but all their years amounting to silly fuck ups is sort of low brow writing. Like if someone researched the significant achievers of our history, created a story where they're gathered by time travel to help with an apocalyptic or post-apocalyptic issue and the story amounts to them doing little or making things worse while a ragtag group of laymen solve things. It just reeks of inferiority complex power fantasy.

Emma Frost's power and influence in the X-Men universe was directly tied to her presence in Cyclops' bed. If they were rebuilding the Illuminati today they'd just bring Cyclops in directly.

No, Black Panther makes sense. He's the absolute monarch of a G20 nation. He has full control over the most valuable precious metal on Earth. He has more resources available to him than the rest of the team combined. Wakanda's preference for isolationism aside, they keep an extensive spy network and has never been above meddling when it suits them. Kiber Island, Sturm und Drang, etc.

Emma is still relevant despite not being Scott’s cocksleeve for a while now
>>
The illuminati is a retarded concept meant to make these characters feel morally ambiguous because Joe Quesada is an emotionally unwell man.
>>
>>155309704
Half of the roster was morally ambiguous before the Illuminati even existed.

Namor is out of place in that group. He belongs to the Cabal with his BFF Doom.

Emma Frost also got powerwanked from being an insignificant telepath to being one of the most powerful telepaths in Marvel.
>>
>>155311189
which is even more retarded when you consider that she already had her diamond form to make her stronger

>Seriously, why hasn’t he been on an Illuminati roster before?
He was in it during the latter part of Hickman's New Avengers
