So Buddy is a creation (or part) of a company that started a children's show to lure kids into and mind control them. I know we see a bunch of people pictured in the hallway scene, but it looks like Buddy is the only one left running the place. The only other person we see is the one old unicorn guy who was chained up. He probably killed or hid away anyone who stole his attention (like the other unicorns we see painted on the wall) or those that didn't love him back. I'm not sure if the building they're in is another dimension like the show or is apart of the normal world because Grace got forgotten even when she was only partially sucked up thru the TV.
