Yet characters act as though they live IRL and have some sort of plausible excuse for not believing in any of those things. There's quite literally no reason for Frank Castle to not believe in "luck" because Luck is a quantifiable and manipulable thing in their world. It's akin to someone in real life insisting that they don't believe in radio waves.But comic book writers do this because they want the readers suspension of disbelief to be challenged as little as possible. Hell, Thor's existence ought to mean a massive revival in Norse belief because Valhalla is fucking real and you go there if you die in glorious battle. But we're not suppose to think about that and the writers will never focus on it because they just want us to watch Thor punch stuff.
