Why isn't the Bronze Age of comics as discussed as the other eras?I've been slowly trying to get into it, but so far, all of my favorites are from the 80s, which overlaps with the "Dark Age".
a lot of it was a weird transition between silver age silliness and dialogue with more serious modern concepts that didn't always gel too well. wonder woman was a big example of this.but a lot of people say it was a high point for Superman.
personally, it's my favorite era of DC.
Isn't that the period of X-Men everyone defaults to?

The only Silver Age stuff that gets talked about even close to regularly is Marvel, and that's only the Silver Age stuff post Fantastic Four #1 rather than the stuff from the 50's, which dovetails directly into their Bronze Age/70's books.
>>155374479Silver Age has a bunch of geriatric cultists wanking it from within the industry itself, Dark Age is the most recent and therefore the most relevant. The Golden Age is generally the least-discussed, especially when not discussing the origins of some DC characters.

The Twomorrows stuff you'd have to already be into a lot of the stuff to get the most out of and places like CBR and Newsarama and such usually people would just skim the articles they're interested in and not read anything else, so you end up with an audience that mostly was aware of Watchmen, DKR, Batman: Year One, Killing Joke, and then 2000s and onwards books, if at allI will say that as much as comics discourse on Twitter is annoying at least they were more willing to read comics made before the 00s, even comics made in the 60s to the 80s, before they were born. I kept seeing too many 00s era fans on various boards who seemed to only read DKR and Watchmen but not willing to read many comics made before those

>>155374479A lot of it just gets lumped in with the modern age. The fact that it's also technically Pre Crisis didn't do DC any favors when it came to historically cataloging things. Most people just use Crisis to divide things so early bronze age DC might as well just be late Silver.
