Inglorious X-Force versus X-Force!

Comics in this thread:
>Inglorious X-Force #9
>Wolverine #27
>Punisher #8
>>
Bump if you're reading.
>>
>>
>The entity possessing Cable is trying to claim that Domino is Kamala’s future assassin
Was it always planning on blaming the assassination on Domino?
>>
>The entity is claiming that it wasn’t Apocalypse and Sinister that made Boom-Boom attack in Issue #3, it was Domino the whole time
I know that Domino’s luck powers can be bullshit sometimes, but come on.
>>
They’re waiting outside to jump on them…
>>
>Boom-Boom is still blindly trusting Cable and still not realizing that something is possessing him
Well, this won’t totally bite her in the ass.
>>
Nevermind, the other X-Force are just going to break in instead.
>>
>>
>>
>>
Boom-Boom is still not believing the truth…
>>
>The entity possessing Cable is a mutant/fungi experiment created by Apocalypse of the future
And here I thought we’d be done with him after he died in Deadpool/Wolverine.
>>
No Kamala, don’t charge that portal!
>>
>”On Cable’s recorder…there’s another voice.”
…Did the entity possessing Cable also decide to contribute to the voice recordings?
>>
>>
>The entity possessing Cable was using the X-Force missions as distractions so that it could plan to kill Kamala and take over the world from there
Okay, so it was the one behind the assassination of Kamala in the first place and not some other thing. Good to have that confirmed, at least.
>>
>>
>”And you, like Catharsix, evolve best…in the face of conflict.”
Finally we get a name for the entity possessing Cable.

2 weeks ago, Logan got mysteriously teleported to the reality of the Savage Champion Red Hare, who reveals to him that the Adamantine was back and now targeting the alternate realities of the Savage Champions, and that it was now possessing the warlord Gao Wei. After teaming up and killing Gao Wei, the Adamantine decided to tear a rift and fled to the reality of the Savage Champion Boneclaw, with Logan and Red Hare chasing after it. But can the three of them defeat the Adamantine when it has possessed…a giant mammoth?

Punisher has still not been ripped. In the meanwhile, let's take a look at the sequel to Inglorious X-Force.

>Marvel’s covert mutant strike team has a new mission statement: stay ahead!

>This December, X-Force enters a pulse-pounding new era in FUGITIVE X-FORCE, a five-issue limited series from writer Tim Seeley, following his acclaimed run of INGLORIOUS X-FORCE which concludes in October. Joining Seeley in this escalation of his current saga is newcomer Áthila Fabbio, recent winner of the Marvel Art Atelier training program for aspiring artists, making his Marvel series debut.

>In this new chapter for the iconic team, founding member Boom-Boom steps up as leader following Cable’s disappearance. On the outs with the law and their fellow mutants, the explosive fan-favorite leads Archangel, Hellverine, Domino, and Ms. Marvel into the shadows, racing to find Cable before the time-traveling soldier’s latest crisis destroys everything X-Force has fought for!

>FIRST, THEY WERE INGLORIOUS… NOW THEY’RE FUGITIVES! When X-Force discovers that their leader Cable’s mind had been compromised, a new leader arises! Boom-Boom takes over the team for the first time, but it couldn’t be under worse circumstances: X-Force has been framed for a horrific crime! As they run for their lives from, well, everyone, Domino searches for Cable, but she might not like what she finds!

>“FUGITIVE X-FORCE is a natural extension of INGLORIOUS, following up with the ramifications of the events of that series, with the militant, mutant strikeforce forced to pick up the pieces and move on,” Seeley explained. “But now, they're on their own, wanted for murder, and hanging on by a thread. But, they've got something going for them, TABITHA SMITH—NEW LEADER! Boom-Boom has years of experience watching Cable work. She's his best pupil in blowing things up...and she also looks great in very big shoulder pads.”

>“I grew up in the ‘90s so Wolverine and Nightcrawler were my favorite characters—until I saw Cable!” Fabbio shared. “I’m entering the world of X-Force with the same excitement I felt back then. I’m so grateful to Marvel that this is my first series—and to God for letting me live this dream of mine. I’m having a blast working with Tim Seeley and drawing what unfolds on these pages, and I hope readers enjoy it too! I am especially loving drawing Boom-Boom!”

>Don’t miss INGLORIOUS X-FORCE #9-10, on stands soon, and stay tuned for more information about FUGITIVE X-FORCE in the months ahead.

I guess it's no secret that people are fed up with Marvel's "10-issue ongoing" tactic, because majority of the comments related to this announcement have just been variations of "why is this not Inglorious X-Force #11-15?".
>>
And we also got Chris Yost sharing the script and issue title for Maximum X-Men #3. Retribution happens to be the name of the new villain that this comic will introduce, so I guess this might be the issue explaining what their deal is.
>>
>>155392813
APIT's own article about the announcement (https://aiptcomics.com/2026/09/03/fugitive-x-force-1/) decided to put a direct link to their op-ed about Marvel's renumbering tactics in the opening paragraph (https://aiptcomics.com/2026/09/03/marvel-legacy-numbering-essay/)

I feel like this isn't how hard light works. It's not the first time in this run either. She just straight shoots beams in the first chapter. It has been treated as straight energy projection a lot when it has prior to been explicitly light constructs.
>>

My comment is why is the lowest selling team book across all publicly available data is getting any sort of continuation.

>>
>>155392816
so there very much just calling her Betsy, not Captain Britain or Psylocke here
>>
>>155393075
There's been very little consistency with her hardlight powers, both in appearance and function

Sometimes it's disco ball patterned constructs, other times it's just a outer layer sheen on her existing embiggening

Honestly feels like an editorial mandate for the sake of keeping up appearances and their insistence that the MCU is dogma

And we’re back! Punisher is visiting us for the Big Guns crossover. Previously, Blind Al used her money to buy a new HQ for Wade’s merc business – the Merc Mobile. For their first job together, Wade and Blind Al were hired by Black Hole to travel to a decommissioned SHIELD vault to do a security check on it, as well as steal one of its Big Guns(tm) while they’re at it. But before Wade could even get to the vault, he was blasted behind by Frank, who has decided to target Wade following the rampages caused by the Badpools. Speaking of the Badpools, Black Hole has been training a group of them to work for him…
>>
>>
>”What are you looking at me for? This isn’t my book. It’s his.”

Seeley's X Force is honestly decent. Better than Thorne's Forge-led book at the start of FtA. Better than X Factor and NYX and United and Exceptional and Generation X23.

Outside of the Blue & Gold, it and the short lived Joe Casey Weapon X Men (and Ashley Allan's surprise breakout) have been the only good things from the X line since Brevoort took over.

The Kamala shoe horning sucks. But thats typical terrible Marvel editorial, and Seeley has made it work as best as possible. Ending the volume and relaunching it as a mini is more of the same.

The X line is fundamentally broken
>>
>>155391321
>Pug-Smasher
Giga cringe, jesus. Anyway have they finally revealed that Kali is just evil future Boom-Boom yet?
>>
I like the Wolverine stories with Alpha Flight and the Morlocks and Silver Sable and the Wendigo.

When its just Wolverine rocking the brown & tan in Canada, having fights in the woods, its been fun.

I guess I like the Savage Champions but it still is just more multiverse shit. And The Adamantine is a ridiculous villain.

Somehow the book veers from "fun retarded" to "stupid retarded" between page to page
>>
>>155400831
>and Ashley Allan's surprise breakout
It's got nothing to do with her humdrum and forgettable writing and everything to do with Magik becoming a popular goonerbait character thanks to Rivals so people buy the book for the covers.
>>
>>155401015
>have they finally revealed that Kali is just evil future Boom-Boom yet?
They revealed Kali last issue she's two baseline humans riling up mutant Nazis as a false flag to stoke mutant hate it's utterly retarded
>>
>>155401794
You're right, that is retarded because making her the Boom-Boom version of Reignfire would have made more sense and at least fit thematically with X-Force's history. So that's twice that the big villains of this series are just OCs that nobody will care about or use again. Wow, bravo Seeley. No wonder you've never gotten better than C-list work.
>>
>>155393835
>It's a gun, Frank. A gun that can shoot through time.
>>
>>155401925
Not just OCs but they just can't let mutants be the bad guys outside of 3K. Hell even Darkstar renounced her villainy during X-Factor. Just let the evil Mutants be Mutants and evil
