Is he the only Telepath/shapeshifter who isn't just evil? Even the "good" ones just casually invade people's minds, but MMH won't do it without consent.

Telepathy isn’t his only power, which probably helps. Seems like anyone whose ONLY power is telepathy eventually goes down the path of villainy (whether the story acknowledges it or not), while telepathy + something else (especially anything arguably on that telepathy’s power level) tends to keep other options open.

No, God is. Stop worshipping highly satanic false idols
>>

Christian God tortured Job over a bet, killed innocent Egyptian children, and had all of Canaan raped by his followers.
>>
Another problem (beyond writers having no sense of morality) is Marvel and the like make all psychics overpowered and able to do anything. Just because you are a mentalist doesn't mean you should automatically be able to read everyones minds at once and effortlessly twist them to whatever it is you want (and usually at massive range to boot).

God forbid a telepath would just have the ability to communicate mind-to-mind with others or general empathic abilities.

He is the most consistently principled Telepath.
And compared to the average Marvel telepath, he is Martian Mr Rogers returned.

They mindraped him too, because they knew he would defend Batman from having his mind violated like that.

Telekinetics and telepathy are closely-related enough that I’d argue otherwise, but if you mean the Phoenix fire-conjuring stuff then I guess that’s fair.

Jean’s a special breed of cardboard, though. I can’t name any other exceptions.

Having work ethics and coming from a civilization where you can't look into people's minds without their consent actually works wonders.

Marvel telepaths are all sociopaths for some reason. Is a rarer power in DC. But mostly it's a power given to villains, because changing someone's mind is a villainous thing to do.

Also there are characters who can probably read minds but don't seem to normally be written to do it like Raven or Dr. Fate.

As far as shapeshifting goes that probably isn't correlated to being good or evil. Plenty of characters out there like Plastic Man and plenty like Mystique.

Double dubs for the strongest truth.
>>
>>155392900
The thing is as time has gone on the general consensus on telepathy and such has gone from "wow that's cool" to "wow, that's fucked up". I can't really bring myself to see someone having their autonomy stripped from them and see it as a good thing. Hell, even in Marvel you have Mesmero, Purple Guy and Mandrill to show why mind control is so fucking bad.
>>
>>155404503
I'd say it's a mutant thing but Moon Dragon is a pretty huge bitch a lot of the time and Mantis... well she's done stuff.
>>
>shares his hero title with fucking intergalactic robo-spooks that's been long disavowed by said intergalactic authority for being too authoritarian
DC has yet to address this in a definitive way.
>>
>>155394756
Ollie agreeing to this is the only thing that is in-character.

>>155400013
Jean was pretty much fine when she was just telekinetic, but pure telekinetics seem almost strangely rare to me. And it's a moot point because she didn't stay that way.

>>155404989
Nobody's bothered by that bit, really. Telepathy is unusual in that the violation is regularly played as a joke at the expense of innocent bystander victims, particularly in Marvel.

Morph from X-men TAS
Odo from Deep Space Nine.
Fox X-men's version of Mystique.
