There is a rock monster among them. They seem to have strange powers. And each of them has sustained serious injuries, including burns... burns that it’s soon clear only the youngest one could’ve inflicted. The older man — whose limbs have a strange elasticity — has a single word written in blood on his own arm: SURVIVE.>The Fantastic Four are lost, with no memory of who they are or why they're there — but now they know they need to find out, fast — because Magneto's life hangs in the balance. But without identities — or a clear understanding of their powers — the FF are as much a danger to themselves as they are their opponents. The FF fight foes they've never fought before. Plus, in this issue, Ben gets dunked in acid! It hurts a ton. All this, plus: romance, kissing, the Beast AND Johnny and Ben getting some real talk in about their relationship. It's the conclusion to our DNX tie-in that you won't want to miss!>The Fantastic Four have built a new kind of telescope for their children, able to peer deeper into the unexplored depths of the universe... and have found something unexpected. It's not a biosignature, but a technosignature: solar engineering that could only be done by an incredibly advanced civilization. It's an invitation — one that they take... but soon discover that the society that sent it is long gone — and those that destroyed them may still remain! It's the Fantastic Four — and their children — facing cryptic messages on the other side of the universe...
>>155394662Why does this feel like a random episode of TNG?
>>155394701look, the HMV Dog in the second panel.
>>155394771Now the FF get to be chucked into a random event
>>155394797Why does Doom have a pet vulture?
>>155394843Ewing is playing up the irony a bit too much here
>>155395035FF has always been in the veins of Star Trek
>>155394701The second panel is a reference to the His Master's Voice painting for Victor Records
>>155394644Wasn't this out last week?I like it but it feels like North would rather write Star Trek.
>>155395797FF was i guess OP just decided to storytime it since it hadn't been last week, along with the Ewing Doom comic.Didn't Doomquest also come out this week?
>>155394804WEB BALL
>>155394644If F4 really only on 742 issues?
>>155397856They didn't have any comic published for a good four years which hampered their numbering compared to other Marvel comics charecter
>>155398024Plus Spidey was shipping twice a month for a while. That gave him a real head start.
>>155394895dope second panel
>>155395147It's been around.
>>155398041Even other Marvel books are reaching #800 now, like Thor
>>155399153It's even uglier here, what the hell

>>155394656reading bump
shame about the art on F4. its very un-spectacular. I really like Ramos' art and think he's over-hated BUT he doesn't feel like the right fit for the kind of episodic Star Trek-esque stories that North wants to tell. His run's vibe hasn't felt the same since the 1-2 punch of OWUD and the movie synergy piled on top of each other in a really poorly managed way. Art's been kind of all over the place on this restarted volume. and now its getting dragged into an X event. Thanks Brevoort
>>155394870Wait so are they trying to retcon the story where Flash gets mistaken for Spider-Man? I thought Doom was trying to recruit Spider-Man in that one too?
>>155394908>It really worldI hope somebody got fired for that blunder
>>155399383Thor took over Journey into Mystery's numbering which started in the early 50s
>>155400736It's crazy to think that there used to be a time the numbering was the part they kept the same
>>155394941I want Mephisto to fuck off forever and get killed off. I'm so damn sick of this red bitch
>>155394941Our hero!
>>155400587The dialogue has been retconned naturally but the course of events described is otherwise mostly consistent. Doom actually thought Flash was the real Spider-Man though.
>>155403202Yeah I forgot how the issue panned out. I had misremembered it thinking that Doom grabbed Flash and that was when he offered to team up
>>155394923I like it when Doom and Spider-Man team up. They have such a great dynamic, especially when Spider-Man has to deal with Doom's ego and Doom has to put up with Spider-Man's Snark.>>155394946>Strange team upI guess this is going to take place when they free Doom's mom.
>>155394724Huh. This didn't go the usual way of uniting the people against aliens.>>155394744Manually, then.
>>155394810Wait a second, if this is a retelling of ASM #5, then Peter's face is far off from what it should look like.
>>155395147Why don’t you?
>>155394870>Flash's suit was better qualityI'm with Doom on this one. That's hilarious.
>>155394941Funny enough, came here after reading another storytime with a devil and his deals. That one was better.
>>155407632The Eurocomic one?>>155380932
>>155394917>>155394941Spidey at the POV of others is always funny. Especially with how Doom and Daredevil perceive him
>>155394771This entire felt like someone very stupid trying to write something smart.I'm not even talking about the stupidity of clay being able to record sounds from the past with enough precision to serve as effectively time capsule, whatever, if you can’t accept that you might as well not read FF. But the solution they came up with was unbelievably retarded and borderline cynical>We'll just plant these pots in the past so they’ll be tested in the present, and when people hear that we faked them they’ll think we engineered this entire bit to be a load of bullshitSo the planet is just going to believe that thousands of tons of clay was shaped, remodeled, faked and then planted in the past by five aliens in blue jumpsuits? And there's just no reason any of the planet’s inhabitant would try to just... make a pot themselves and test it again later, seeing that the principle still works?

>>155394701Wouldn't be a Marvel comic without at least a little bit of shit talking Christianity.
